isnt this the same as voyage century online? first time i saw the name, i thought it's another game. when i went to the site, man, it's the same as voyage century. what's the point to run a game that another company had already run. and i dont think there will be many people play in this game. VCO free

Yea i was just loling at that, but there seems to be ppl playing it. There must be something differant, or mabey these players are oblivious.

I´ve been playing Voyage Century for a while, and despite the annoying stuff(bugged quests, lack of support, cartoon item mall stuff) I don´t see much reason to move to BBO. And, if it is as the releaser promise to be, I wouldn´t change even if it were Free to Play.
The reason is basic. Anyone playing for a while knows one thing. It takes forever for you to go along with your char in VCO without supporting chars. And the possibility of multiple accounts, besides the P2P stuff, is what will keep preventing people to move. Unless you want to spend hours and hours of gameplay mining, cutting trees, fishing, etc, and really play(sail, fight, etc) seldomly, you will take forever to progress. In BBO, since you have to pay for you account, you probably will have the right to a single account with two chars, that cannot interact with each other(you can login with only one at a time). It will have a devastating effect on the population of the game in the long run, ´cause lvl up a logger or a miner to collect(for exemple) lvl 8 materials is a work for weeks in a row.
There will come a time when people can upgrade their ships or buy new equipments, and will have to stop playing and start collecting for weeks. Sorry, but who has the patience for that?
I´ve been playing for 6 months, And if I try to think how it would be if my char had to do everything for himself, all I see is him taking 3 years or more to reach his actual stage. Doesn´t worth it.
There are other unclear aspects, but they don´t worth mentioning, since the already said blocks the interest in the game without further consideration.
For those who decide to try, all I can say is: save yourself the time. Go to VCO at once, ´cause you will love the game, and this one is free and much fuller of possibilities.

The effectivness of the customer support shows actually ... most tickets get sorted within minutes, mails get replied on Sundays !
and on a businessday's the ones iv heard of have been replied within Minutes

Except, unless a game is really bugged out or something, there are very few times anyone ever needs customer service in any game. I won't argue that it's not usually better when paid for (although not always), the benefits really aren't that great when choosing between VC and BBO when you consider the games overall. Gameplay wise, you're paying for the same game VC customers are playing for free.
Whats up with all the pirate themed games now following POTBS. There can't be any reason to launch this game because it is about the same as Voyage, also with the hype and attention POTBS has, I doubt these people making this genre will ever have a successful launch unless it is 100% free and as good as POTBS.
This is like exact copy from Voyage century. Even the game UI is the same. What the hell is this?
actually quite a lot of people are playing this game (including me ^^).
I played VCO before and tbh, I was a bit put off by the lack of support IGG offers and the chaos on the servers. and the item mall, pfff, dont get me started on this. imo BBO is the better VCO.
There are more players coming everyday, and those who come stay, becasue once you have been there, you just don't go back to VCO! It's unfortunate that so many people have talked so much crap about BBO just because you have to pay to play, because is is 1000% better than VCO in every way and worth that small monthly fee. The fact is that neither game is free to play, and actually BBO is cheaper when you look at everytrhing you get with your account. All those who play seriously in VCO are paying a hell of a lot more to keep up with others, and are paying to play a version which does not even come close to the version they could be playing.
Anyway, thats my 2 cents on the issue!
You should see it now matey, our Guild in BBO gets about 5 new member every day that have come from VCO!
I had been playing VCO since april 2007 .. it was free to play (really) but I gave up VCO three weeks ago.. cos one day my guild mate had spent 200 USD in one hour in item mall.. he has upgraded his figurehead.. totally 1170 sailors!! I really didnt want hear number of his cannons.. both of us had lv 10 bs.. but I had only 460 sailors.Cos I never bought huge-power-etc- stones from IM..pls make a ccomparison and think about my win chance vs.him. do u still think vco is free-to play ?? it s a MMORPG.. you have to fight with other players. but if u r an ordinary player you dont have any chance against item mall buyers. get some IM points by your credit card and buy some item mall products. and then open a stall in seville,put them on stall. and click on auto-scroll book. you r free to go for the next 6 hours:)) is that what u want ?? lets think about that :

Game is same.
But another advantages. Pay 15$ for monthly period, or pay XX$ money for same period. I think most of players wish to be not the loosers in game. Thats why u need to lvl up your skills. But thats nothing in comparison when u see new Baron char near u, and u r in title of Count
) Thats fun. And same happens when u have lvl 7 falch, which looks really nice . 
So, thats why i say - for ppl who wish to feel a real 18th century in all their issues - it's the finnest way. No fantasy, no imagine, all real, all historian.

I agree totally! Been playing BBO for awhile now and here there are no extra fees for good stuff. Here you earn it instead of buy it. People say we're "idiots" for paying for a free game, guess again. For the bank,uniforms,weapons, upgrades on FH and a host of other stuff I EARN by my Skills, some poor smuck is paying hundreds of hard earned cash. Plus if they want to keep ahead of the next guy/gal they better plan to pay alot more over time. Sorry, Item Mall games are plain everyday rip-offs. Thats why there are so many of them around. If you think a company develops a game and offers it "free" then your the idiot not us. Silkroad is also a "free" game with item mall. I spent more there in 3 months just getting to a mid level toon then i would paying a year and a half for a monthly sub to another MMO. Man I hate to flame anyone but, it gets me angry to see folks think they are playing for free when they are not.
I'm new to this whole wonderful world of on-line gaming but it seems to me that there is no such thing as a "free" game. Somewhere down the line you pay out, wether it's a monthly fee or in the hidden charges of an item mall, the cash will flow. I play BBO and I like knowing that that 14 - 15 Euro's a month is the total outlay I will ever have, no hidden cost, no buying mall items to keep up with other plays, just a level field and how your character advances is down to the time you are prepared to put in.
If the game bears that many similarities to VCO then I'm guessing it was developed by the same people. How does this make it better? I need details.
VCO is just bad graphic sucks, lots of players cheating with many accounts, game slow terible when lots players in one map, u cant have more than 8 skills but u must pay 15 $ if u want more skills but beside that game has some good ideas for crafting, planting, upgrading ships, pvp sieges ...
BBO is the same format as VCO, but run by a different publisher, Yusho. They are a good customer friendly crowd, totally different from those thieving money grabbing, rude & indifferent gits at VCO. You pay a monthly subscription of about $15 a month, but that is all you pay for unlimited access to the game. There is no advantage to being RL rich in BBO. Furthermore, Yusho do more for us as players in the game. It feels more like an online holiday camp really! Just give it a try with a free download and 10 day trial.

OMG superqwerty you're obviously working for BBO, so please cut the crap. I've seen you post all of this forum and on the VCO forum. promoting BBO so much. I have no solid proof but you make it so obvious i don't need any...

It is basically the same thing just a different setting and map layout, but other than that is is VCO with BBO as the title.
