I read there's a trial...

But before i actually download the thing i'd like to know if it's possible to solo in this game.

    Yes, it's absolutely possible to solo.  Probably even for the entire trial.

     

    THAT SAID, DDO, like DnD, is really about getting together a group of adventurers to go brave a quest together.  Grouping in DDO isn't at all like most games.  The UI for grouping=SUPER easy to use.  Finding a group for your level takes only a few minutes, you don't need to start one you can browse the "Looking for More" list.  You don't share loot and exp, in fact you will get MORE of both for yourself by being in a group.  The integrated voice chat is NIIIIICE, and the community tends to be really cool too.

     

    So yes, you can solo.  In the beginning, I do recommend doing it for a bit because the combat and character system are so different it's good to get used to it...but definitely try to group at some point as well.

    You definitely can solo. Some classes are better than others for soloing though. I love soloing and grouping in DDO, both are very rewarding.

    You must not leave until you free Arlos and have gathered your party safely in this hallway.
