A ..."different" combat system

theres this game called Mabinogi, i dont know if anyone has heard of it. It's and MMORPG made by nexon and they have a ..different combat system http://mabinogi.nexon.net/ watch episode 2 and see this games combat system, i think its pretty cool because you will need to think fast and use ure reflexes to counter the opponent. A game to keep an eye on if your looking for a ..unique... combat system and hopefully it wont be a grindfest. Try and watch all of the episodes because they have other different "touches" that i dont see in too many MMOs

I didnt look at the video. But instead of using vague terms such as "different' or "Unique' you may want to take a stand and say if its actually "Better". And then explain how so
There are many different and unique things in life..and a lot of them are no good.

...Czzarre, i thought you were cool, that comment hurt dude.. not cool. as for Consensus... Im not surprised. and all i was trying to say is for those people who look for the different types of combat in a game.. heres one. I didnt want bad feedback, keep that to yourself.
It's the first time in 10 years in forums (yes I'm old, used internet before WWW existed) that I see someone accepting that a comment has hurt him. I will try to do the same in the future. My hat goes off to you.

The Op speaks the truth, Mabinogi is one of hell of a game from what I've seen. Unfortunately.. Nexon got hold of it. I can't tell you much on the combat system, I wasn't paying attention to that part. Well, hey.. when all else fails, wiki.
See, even WITH a link...most people won't even click it if the initial information you present does not strike them. I didn't, so I'm one of them. Too many risks in random link clicking, and frankly some sites just take too long too load anyway.
The other guy WAS kinda harsh though. But thick skin and a clear mind will serve you far better and support your messages more than thin, weak skin and a troubled one. Don't let stuff get ya down, roll with the punches and say what you gotta. Most of us don't listen to too much flaming, and tend to take what people say with a grain of salt.

Agree with OP, Mabinogi is a 5-yr-old korean game well known throughout asia. To me at least It is the only korean game worth trying this year, other than Aion that is.
Its pluses: pretty good sandbox feeling with no class and a ton of crafting. Combat system is simple, realistic and more tactical than most games I've seen. "You are what you eat", meaning food/dishes influence your shape & stats. You can compose your own music, make campfire in wilderness, and set dungeon's difficulty (dungeons are randomized each time you enter, btw) which tied with rewards. Plus a centralized market and player housing etc. etc. A pve-centric game with a big world and enough randomized elements in it to make exploration actually fun.
Downsides? Underdeveloped pvp system and plenty of farming bots in newbie areas in the asian version I tried. Traveling between towns of interest can be time-consuming in the beginning. But overall, a far better and truely original game than Cabal, Rohan or a plethora of other mindless korean L2 clones. If I'm to try just one korean game this year, Mabi will be the one.
If you guys want to know more, just go to Youtube site and search for videos there: all are in-game scenes with no fancy stuff. Wiki has a lot of informations too, given that it's an fairly old game.
wow, it looks pretty kool, I like how you can do all of that different stuff. I am ussually not big on graphics, but the graphics in that game are horrific. But I will definitly try it out.

Hmmm unfortunately the graphics dont do much for me. To bad because i have been looking for a good game for about a year now. Maybe thoug if somone wants to put some time into a post that summarises the important features, hehe cuz my ADD didnt allow me to watch all of the episodes. A lil help for those of us with attentino span of a 2 year old.
