Are Websites Like Myspace Changing Our Race

I belive it is, and not for the better. I'm sure a lot of you have a Myspace or a Facebook, or have had one at one point. I have and nothing good has ever come from it. It made me a lot less outgoing. I was more intrested in talking to people I didn't know (mostly female's, I was 16 when I had one.) I never met up with these people, but I did lose a girlfriend who cheated on me by finding a boy on Myspace. I think from that I see a lot of negitives in technology, minus of course video games. :) I've become quite a negitive nancy on most forms of it. I use this website, AIM, and my LAN phone to communicate with friends, everything else is done in person. I imagine it will have some sort of effect on the future and all I can see coming from it will be negitive. I guess I just want to know what you all think as I'm sure a lot of you are pro technology.

Moderation in all things is good.

    Too true.

I only use MySpace to RP. I do not use Facebook. I have a Twitter though. My 360 also has a blog. LOL

  • I only use Myspace to talk to people i allready know in real life.  Dont talk to any one the random people who send me invites.  Dont know why people have a friend list of 400 or 500.  I have 60 and i only talk to about 5 of them.

I don't know anyone IRL who has a MySpace, at least not where I live now. I use it to keep in contact with friends in other states.

I personally tried it and found it to be a pointless waste of time.  If I want to talk to someone I will call them.

The only thing it has changed was it added a new market for companies to make money in.  I don't consider it to be like the first automobile or anything like that.  If in ten years from now it has a billion users, then you can come back and suggest it's changing our race.  Right now it's a just an advertisement tool.

What greater tribute to free will than the power to question the highest of authority? What greater display of loyalty than blind faith? What greater gift than free will? What greater love than loyalty?
