Here is a screen of my level 9 Raki Paladin in full plate:
I really like how cool/unique you can look even at low levels(and there don't seem to be petty lvl restrictions on armor types. As in you can't wear plate until you're level 20, etc...)
I'm currently in Autumnglow Outpost, the quests are entertaining and levels aren't tedious so far, having a good time.

Your opinion about Vanguard is pretty clear, you have been repeating it repeatingly. It is the constant bashing upon it, and on those that likes it, that is the trolling. Not that you have an opinion about it.
What was your need here to tell that you dont like the models and that you don't like the background. Why?

Well, I must have bad taste, I think the character model looks good.
Compared to the rags some of my Pallys had to wear in DAOC until they got up high enough to wear plate, this is great. Also, let's face it, some of the Pally armor in WOW was/is just goofy looking. Of all the characters I leveled, I hated his gear the most.

Thanks for the comments. I really like the models despite what others think, if you don't like it then why comment saying I have bad taste? Just to be an asshole? Personally I like the models, better than disney cartoons(aka WoW) or the japanimation(lineage 2, etc...).

Thanks alot, Zoobie. I'm already acting like a kitten with 3 balls of yarn to play with. I play with one, but I'm constantly looking at the others until I quickly switch to one of the others. Now you've just thrown the fourth ball into this exhausting activity.
But seriously, your post has me digging out the discs to put on top of my "games on deck" pile. I hate it when you people have to remind me of how good a game is while I'm busy with the "next big thing."

I see a log in screen for about 2 sec. Long enough to pick a server, pick a toon, and hit login. The background could be black for all I care, it's unimportant. it's just a login screen.
Pretty damn petty when you gotta complain about the background at the LOG IN SCREEN.

One of the things I love about Vanguard is the armor. Most MMO's I've played leave you in rags and ugly looking armor for the low levels. I have to admit VG has the best armor design I've seen in a MMO (*DISCLAIMER - This is just my opinion. I'm sure a lot of you have different ones and I respect that.*)
If you want to see what the higher level armor looks like, remember to search the broker and mouse over the picture of the item to see your character wearing it.

I dunno the Armor just has no character and a really bad art direction, not as bad as the armor from EQ2 but it's still horrible. I also find the character models to be lifeless and look like dolls and just really ugly. Then you look at the world and it seems all rather empty and barren.... a whole lot of nothing, doesn't even have a excuse that SWG did which was player cities but for some reason i didn't mind it in SWG, Vnguard just looks ugly.

Ya but your have to get to lvl 70 wield any/all of tat armor set. The images posted were low lvl armor, just think it would look like when there's been 2 expansions and 3 years under the belt of VG. A high end armor set would just as good if not better in comparison. Not knocking WOW grpahics, Ilike there's as well, but I prefer the style of VG.

To me, those armors are completely unrealistic, though that is an art style it's just not my cup of tea. Also, it just looks like you're part of a cartoon like "Gargoyles" or something. I wouldn't call the armors in Vanguard bad, they all are pretty detailed and the chainmail underneath looks great.
I do like the Tier 5 set, it looks pretty good, the tier 6 looks ridiculous though. I should point out that your arguement is pretty invalid. How can you compare a level 70 character wearing armour obtained through RAIDING to a level 9 character wearing armour gathered through drops or an easy quest?
