I played this game during beta, I tried the best I could to report bugs etc. But I spent over 10 minutes loading (so I have an ancient machine...), I never got the chance to play. Now after that 'insulting' e-mail I remembered they made it free. I downloaded it... Installed it... And got stunned by the huge improvements.

The new carnage PvP allows newer players to start with Fury. The improved performance allows me to.. play.

Too bad many people hooked off after they lost a few battles... Then blaming the game for being imbalanced. Agreed, melee deals a lot of damage, but just try to run away. It'd take a while for him to catch up, and by the time he's standing near you, he's almost dead. That's by far the best balancing I've ever seen.

Honestly, give this game another shot, try to win a game, learn how every arena works. And eventually, you'll win, have fun, realize this game is way better than most people think, etc.

If anybody thinks I am wrong at some point, feel free to say it. Just don't use 'The game isn't balanced' as an excuse for you who cannot win.

You know it, the best way to realize your dreams is waking up and start moving, never lose hope and always keep up.

Glad to see you back :)

Its a tough game... no doubt about that. It takes alot to get back on the horse again after falling, but once you'r learnt how to ride, you can start jumping hurdles lol

I agree with both of you. I played pre-aotc and stayed on, and personally I think aotc was a good thing. 2 new match types, with 2v2 being added in the next patch, and the balancing of armor etc.

I remember constantly wondering why i was getting owned, before I realised pre-patch was all about the gear. Now I'm one of the main DPS in the Power Rangers 4v4 group, and its all because Im not constantly being screwed over by leet armor.

Yeah its still annoying when dreamwalkers and sleepers runes keep proccing on you, but its nowhere near as bad as being killed by a 6stack of Torn runes.

I'd like to see the old guys back on purely to see if they could win off their skill, or if it WAS the armor procs they were relying on.

I mean, Rathorse would OWN bloodbaths, but never stuck around long enough to see if anyone could beat him post patch.

In closing, I think the only reason people say Fury is 'dieing', is because nobody is giving it a second chance. They can whine about it all they want, but unless they come back and start owning it up, I dont really care what the oldies have to say.

(Btw, I got fury 2 weeks after release, and I always dreaded TPT, KoD, and SQL, but I would give ANYTHING for those clans to be around again now...)

I may have been hasty on my previous posts regarding the 'old' clans, so I'd like to personally apologize for that. I understand its hard to get used to one way and have it suddenly change, I'm glad to see that there are those from beta and post that did stay and are still around to help out and get the new chosen up to speed. I too, would love to see them back and own up to their mystique, and see if they can truly give

the post aotc masters> a challenge.

After seeing the game become even less about skill and more about retarded proc's and all the time telling the devs about game breaking bugs or strategies and not being listened too, also most of us had already spent our 1000(ish) challenge gold to see every item we owned (proc or not) and our pre-order stuff become worthless over-night. They pretty much forced the max exodus themselves, I wonder if they felt the playerbase was too "elite" and new players had no chance in the game due to the match making system being terrible.

Anyway, I keep checking hoping for balance but I doubt it.

That sounds very plausible and logical. The pre-aotc players were most likely too 'leet' and was scaring away new players from staying in the game, since there was no starting area for them. Hence the introduction of aotc and its changes. From what I hear it was all about gear back then and not the use of abilities. Its all different now, geared towards easing the new F2P players into the game.

The Chosen can at least test out their skills before getting into the main Sanctorum, thats how I started as a chosen and got the handle of  the game without facing against a Paragon. I can thank Auran for that at least. I think currently they should get rid of the '9 fights so you can enter sanctorum feature' and only have them enter the main area after achieving at least an expert or master status. Cause right now once they are in Sanctorum they still face high ranks, which in turn lose points for having to fight them with no choice in either side.

I always feel bad for these chosen, cause I've been there. So I usually just sit and have them kill me.

I'm pretty sure that the amount of matches you have to play before graduating from the tutorial was reduced to 5 in the last patch or the one before.

  • zaltarzaltar Member UncommonPosts: 125

Yes thats correct , it was 10 matches originally and after the last Gu it was cut down to 5 .

Oh dear... I'm not sure thats such a good idea, no wonder there's so many chosen in Sanctorum. Most of them haven't had the hang of the game yet. I mean its not that complicated, but I just hope they have enough patience when they get beat my higher ranks (which in itself is not fair on either end) and be able to get better. I get thats the main point of Fury... to get better through adversity.

The game is great, I love it and I am glad to see people who had awful experiences in beta are coming back from that very dumb titled email "Loser Loser Loser".

Although I admit, at first AoTC seemed like an awful patch in the wrong direction for fury. However, now I look back and although armor procs were amazingly overpowered at first, a recent mini-patch has ensured they only happen at most once every 15 seconds. I do feel the developers screwed us players over by not giving us a decent sell price on the pre-patch armor, however I have moved past that and I now enjoy fury every single day.

Yes, we quit because we lost so much...

I would suggest you actually look into the reasons why people (at least the good players) stopped playing rather than throwing out a random argument that "melee deals a lot of damage."

Thank you for coming back. I'm sure you can teach the current community a few things here and there.

Ya, one thing I find equally as fun as killing people in game is help teaching new players how to play.
