I play wow, everquest 2, and many more online rpgs.
and I gotta say wow...
this software is a plainly a big bag of network holes, bugs, errors, and just a plain horribly put together game all around. I've never seen such a badly coded game in my life. However, its got great graphics, and nice controls for your character making it nice and easy.. good luck in ever having the game run smooth/stable enough to even play it at those resolutions and enjoy what the game has to offer visually.
Everything in the game is instanced and the areas are all very small and bland. You see the same areas over and over again. (Kind of makes you feel like your playing Pac-Man except with demons)
As a diablo fan I am utterly disspointed by the quality of work that was put into this game. The game developers should of stayed at Blizzard because maybe they could teach them how to make a quality game without so many problems and errors. I don't think I've ever played a game with so many errors and bugs in my 14 years of playing games.
The company who released this game (Flag ship studios) should be ashamed to be even putting a subscriber price tag on it. I can name 50 other games right now that would blow this game right out of the water.
It definitly dosnt deserve a 8.1 user rating eather.
And please to you innocent game players out there. Avoid buying this game Like the plague. Don't buy this game. Don't do what I did. your wasting your time.

i have a custom built computer which i play on
WinXP pro
2gig DDR-800
8800gt 512 meg vid card
AMD 4200+ Athlon 64 X2 Proc
and have no disconnects or network errors since the first patch after launch (the exact number eludes me) and i can play the highest graphical settings with all AA and shadows etc on high/highest

Re-read the yellow sections above and tell me whats wrong with them. First of all you're making false claims. Second of all, you were whining about poor performance, so the first thing to expect in a crappy computer. Second of all, you tell me what "network holes" mean BESIDES getting disconnected. That basically another name for disconnects.
There's a huge discussion about the 10 million people playing WoW being ignorant about playing the game. And a game having 10 million people does not prove that it is a good game, not at all. I could go on for that for hours, but I really don't feel like dealing with you.
I, honestly, pity you and the other 10 million people who "ball licked" Blizzard and think's their the best thing in the world, when really there's a lot better out there.
And seriously, if you're going to try to have an intelligent arguement, try to know what your talking about before arguing about it. And what's 200 hundred people? Is that 200,000? Or just an imaginary number?
Lastly, your comments in the other thread obviously say something about your maturity level, so I'm guessing that you're flat out lying about the whole 14 year thing. Probably haven't even been playing MMO's for more than 2 years. Anyways, go back to middle school kid.
Lastly again, don't you find it hypocritical that you first made a thread about how you really like this game and how awesome it was, only to later make a thread to say how bad it was? Obviously you did have a good time with it, so how could you change your mind that drastically when you had to have fun with it to post a thread about it?
don't think you made a good pc man i run hellgate fine never get any problems now that patch 1.0 is out game is fun i can play for hours with no problems at alli think this game is fun for 5 min at a time for a quick rush or even hours on hours of fun

Even without the errors the game is rather bland, like 1 cool skill in the entire game and the rest suck. The areas are totally uninspired etc..
Enjoying the game myself. Completed the game on normal without a hitch and starting on elite with my friends now.
Smooth on XP, GForce 8600GT, AMD 4400+ & 2GB RAM with graphics maxed.

you can sugar coat this game as much as you want . but all ready this game as been droped in price . not by a small amount . games dont drop that much if there doing well . just hope all the people who bought this game and paid for subs feel like they got there money worth .
one last point every one that bangs on how good this game is and all the ones that hate it come back at the end of the year . see who was right
Its an odd game, seems like some folks have a lot of problems with it, and yet many others are doing great and having fun. (On these forums that seems to be true of every game)
But what I do find interesting is how many posts complaining about bad performance by a game start off with,
"I built my own PC and it has more power than a Cray supercomputer etc etc."
I'm starting to think more folks should consider buying their PC's pre-built for them.

People tend to pick what is best and you say Blizzard is producing better game then FLS and that is why they have 10millions of player. Are there any MMO developers that have more subscribers then Blizzard, no not that I know of, so that would also mean that Blizzard is the best producer. And in the end WOW is the best game,

the original post was about the game engine and network errors....nothing about the actual gameplay. But if we want to delve onto game play....its not bad. a good, simple fps to kill some time with. SOme replayability, but not alot atm.
