This system will run VG quite well.  You should be able to run on high settings without much problem.  The only thing you might run into problems with is an sli setup.  SLI sometimes actually hurts performance in VG.  I used to always disable my sli setup before playing VG.  It isn't huge but it did have a negative impact.

Other then that you are good on CPU and Memory is fine.  VG has seen a lot of performance enhancements and runs quite a bit better today then in the past.  However it still has some hitching when you are in a new area.  It isn't as bad as it used to be but expect that your performance will be kind stuttery when you first go into a town or into buildings.  Once the textures have been compiled they are cached and this hitchiness goes away and performance is actually very good for the quality of graphics.

You will be able to play your Dark Elf in Vanguard with that setup.

I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention.

*disclaimer: I am not a PC guru, just voicing my opinion*

Since you seem to be building a computer... you're better off skipping the dual cards and buying one good one instead. The dual card set-up is a marketing ploy.

Sorry man but in all honesty you won't get very good performance on high or even medium settings.  From what I hear SLI does not work well with vanguard and one single 8500 just won't cut it.  Go for an 8800gt, that's what i have and run everything on max except shadows which don't make any visible difference if turned down slightly.

There's such a dramatic jump going from anything under an 8800gt to an 8800gt that the extra 75$ or so you'll spend is definitely worth it.
