Thinking of trying it out..how big is install, plus more questions :)

Hi Huys,

Im an MMO veteren of a few games, and noticed that the D&D online retail disk is only $10 at my local store. Before I try it out, Id apprecaite some advice...Here goes :)

1. My broadband is limited per month (yeah I know its weird, but thats Australia at the moment) and cant afford to do a 5 gig download to get the game installed. From the original retail disks, how big would the startup patches be to get the game running?

2. I know the game is instanced, but how many dungeons are there to explore? Are there a few, that are regularly re-run to get loot, or are there many many dungeons?

3. How long would the average dungeon run be?

4. Are pugs a good way to play the game? Or do you have to join a guild to get to see the game properly? I hear there is a problem with veteren players racing through content?

Many thanks,

    Up to two GB

It's not really item centric game. There are enough dungeons (maybe around 250) to keep you busy for a long time. But yeh, as in any other game you will rerun the same dungeon from time to time. The advantage here is that each dungeon can be played on 3 or 4 difficulties, and each difficulty makes a different experience (different mobs, different traps..)

The dungeons vary a lot. The fastest can take 5-10 minutes and the longest 4-5 hours.

Indeed they do. When they play their 7th character;p But anyway if you tell them you are new at the beginning, 95% of the players will slow down and let you enjoy each dungeon for the first times. The quality of pugs is actually pretty high.
    Many thanks,
