Good luck with that. IMO, DAoC is as good as it gets right now. Ive been seriously considering reopening my DAOC acct till WoW comes out, because Ever since i quit DAOC, ive tried just about every other MMO out there, and I keep wanting to go back to DAOC.

You should try Final Fantasy XI...I haven't played it but I did some research on it and it looks pretty good because its got cross platform with PC and the PS2.

You arent gonna find what you are looking for in the gen. of games, I would say stick it out on DaoC till all the new games come out. Once you read a few of the reviews decide which games is for you.

image  why don't you send mail to the editor of WoW, or ask on forum of WoW

Blizzard never has given exact release dates until the game is about to be released. And even if they give an approximate time, Blizzard is notorious for delaying release dates. The game is still in beta in the USA and not even in beta in Europe. I can guarantee you won't learn anything about when it will be released.

I'm in the same boat as you. I'm bored with SWG...again. Right now I am trying Pristontale and like it. But it doesn't have the depth that i am lused too.

    Games Played
    SWG - 10 months total
AO - 2 years off and on (2 months at a time usually)
DAoC - 1 year off and on
    AC2 - 4 months

FFXI - 2 months or less
CoH - 2 months or less
Horizons - 2 months or less
EnB - 3 months or less

Pristontale - 1 week so far
    Lineage II - 15 days
EQ - less than 1 month

God I need a new game to play that will hold my attention. Any Suggestions?

    I am Saranth.

If you liked DAoC you may hold your attention at Dark and Light.

Just imagine a game with the biggest map done for a videogame.
Then, try to think it is in one seamless server, with no zones and no limit of NPCs or PCs.
Then, with the awesome graphics, and the more complex weater system in a MMORPG, try to see it...
Sieges with siege armors, lots of keeps and strongholds to conquer, more than 40 tradeskills (with a very complex crafting system with lots of variables), a social way (you can rule your city, kingdom, or what you want) and a lot of ways to travel.
Dodos, balloons, boats and ships, shields (snowshielding), paragliders, parachute, dragons (and more dragons, and a lot more that i´ve forgot.
You can see it at the official site or in the community syte.
Both will be updated in a few days so, keep you visiting them! ::::28::

And not to mention unique weapons/armors where there is only a few or one in the whole world. And mobs that don't keep spawning in the same spot. Like if the mob like the cold then it will spawn wherever it gets cold etc.. So no spawn camping ::::28::

Of course there are some other cool things.
You can play as a little fairy, that flys over the grownd and they´re the best spellcasters of the game.

In crafting (and sry my bad english here) there are lots of variables.
I mean, you can craft a armor with a "normal hammer", with level 50, with the same materials and the same skill and it will be different if you crafted it at day or at nigh. Or in a night with two moons or in a night with one.
Btw if you use a better hammer, better materials, you go to a special place (maybe near a vulcano or something like that) and you wait to see the "XXX" constellation surrounded by the two moons, and, of course, if you have a good skill in blacksmithing, you´d be able to craft a "unique" weapon.
I mean, every weapon will be like unique cause there will be a lot of different thinks that will affect the quality of the weapon, but you can craft a weapon with REALLY nice points, and it will be called unique.

Also there will be global events and all those thigs. Remember, an only server. ^^
