Patcher does'nt like Vista.

The patcher does not download patches on vista as part of it doesnt work ip_plugin.exe and windows message just says the program has stopped working, tried reinstall and running each program as admin as well as compatability mode for xp but still no luck, just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if its been solved somehow.

I have the exact same problem on my laptop...not helping, I know...
have you tried enabling xp emulation mode?
Right click the launch icon and select Run as Administrator that way, simply having that option checked under properties doesnt seem to work for me but the other way does.
Vista doesn't like to play nice with a lot of programs. If running in Administrative mode still does not resolve your issue, try disabling the UAC functionality. This is one of the catch all security settings in Vista. Disabling it will make you more vulnerable to attacks, but I typically disable it, reboot, do the updates, and then re-enable it and reboot. If you use the search function while on the Control Panel in Category View, it will provide you the link to disable UAC.

As mentioned turn off UAC (its the devil you know
) and it should be fine..works a treat on 3 of my vista enabled laptops
Tried everything, game get stuck on "Logging into zone server" no matter what I do. Oh well, atleast i have my stationary comp to play on
