Hey all i quit about 5 months ago because it got boring, i got to lvl 28 dwarf champion, loved the game but i played it for like a week straight, but is it worth it to come back? is there more stuff to do now?
Comments
if you can't play a game for longer than a week, maybe video games and especially mmo's are not for you, mmo's are meant to last YEARS, not months, or WEEKS. lol
theres many things to do in lotro but maybe champs just not the class for you and even then u just need to have patience getting through the low lvls because once you do the game has so much more higher lvl content
If you got bored after only one week....probably not.

Lvl 28 used to be about where you would start to hit a brick wall if you wanted to solo when the game was first released.
There have been major updates to the game every couple of months since then and it is now possible to solo all the way to lvl 50 if you want. So, yes there has been a lot of new content since you last played.
It is very impolite to laugh at the OP because he decided to stop playing a game after a week. Also the OP does not mention anywhere that he left b/c of soloing difficulties.
I have soloed and made 5x lvl 50s (all GMs) in LOTRo. Its not hard. You need to team up for some of the very tough quests, notably the concluding chapters of each epic book, notably 4-8; bk9 is all solo however. Its tougher to solo after level 40, but if you know the spots its still not hard to solo to 50. Do avoid the mobs with big DOTs, notably fire dots.
Is solo fun? It depends. I have to solo b/c of my gaming time, I have to go offline a lot, or afk a lot.
LOTRo is one of the most solo friendly game around. Lots of quests that are soloable, or duo-able. Reasonably large map with good polishing interface. I find the game boring after 50, but the way to 50 is very enjoyable. There are enough things to do, and very interesting quests all the way to 50. The epic books in particular (at least up to bk 8) gave me lots of enjoyment while they last.
ya I quit when I was 28 also. But I started back. Now I need to find people to play with to do the books. lol
I quit just cuz I play so many games that it was getting to hard. But I droped a few now, so looking into it. About craped my pants when it said I can go get a free mount. I was like score!
I would say yes its worth comming back BUT. It all depends on why you got bored. If you said why you got bored maybe we could tell you specific reasons why to come back.
On the free mount. That is for lifetime subscribers and dont be fooled, its verry slow compared to other mounts. I think you get it at level 15 but at level 35 your going to be buying a normal mount anyway due to the free one being so slow. I dont have one, but the 2 people I group with alot do and I definitly dont feel like I am missing out.
Free mount is level 20. Something, but not much really - you can run almost as fast [guessing 75% of speed]

Level 25 to use horse.
Slightly faster than a hunter in Find the Path mode.
I started out with nothing and still have most of it left.
I played LOTRO for 3 weeks and cancelled...
May as well try it out again, especially when the new update comes along!
