MMORPG choice..

Hello all!

After becoming bored with WoW to the point where I was just sitting around not even doing anything, just being online I came to my senses and quit it.

Now I am looking for a new MMO game to take up my free time!

I've done some poking around this website, and have tried a few MMO's in the last week. None suited my tastes :(

What I'm looking for is a MMO which has a main focus of PVE, to be more specific - group PvE, such as the 40 man raid instances found in WoW. For some reason this just has an epic feel for me and it's pretty much what I'm after. Whether it has any, little or lots of PvP content does not bother me.

I've tried Eve-online, but spaceships, asteroid mining just isn't my thing.

I've applied for the WAR beta testing, but chances are I won't get into it.

Hellgate London proves to be fun in the quick-paced kind of way, but it's a bit small for my liking - I want to have to spend somewhere between 3 - 12 months before I reach content that could be considered *end game* But not be lost in a senseless grind before.

So I would be very much thankful to anyone that could point me in the right direction of an MMO that is vast, PVE oriented and has plenty of Raid type encounters

    try guild wars ;) its instanced but good story line and only one time payment (unless you buy GW:EN or other campaigns)

    Wow, very nice post there.

    I've had a read through it and I've narrowed my choices down to three games:

    Everquest II, Lineage II and Vanguard

    Which of these three games would be the most heavily PvE oriented? (in the end game raiding sense)

    And which of these games, in your opinions, would be the better?

    Any chance somebody can get me a buddy key for vanguard? (its a free 30 day thing)

    There is currently no trial option for Vanguard
