I'd love to go back but i can't....

Hi

Let me explain..I've used up my free trials trying to play but i can't...when i tried updating the game I always got a message that i was disconnected from the server.....

 

Never could find an answer to this problem.....I know others had it..Iwould re subsribe If i was certain there was a way around this...?..I have a cable modem....

    I had the same exact problem when I tried to play. Lucky for me, I also had dial-up modem (back-up for when my cable modem wasn't working) so I was able to play.

    Apparently, there are certain ports that you have to open and you may need to contact your ISP admin.

    I ended up giving up out of frustration, but hopefully you'll have a better outcome. My advice would be to contact support and see if they can walk you through it.

    Do you use Vista? Anti-virus software on Vista blocks AC.

    Satellite internet also blocks protocols used by AC.

    He can also take down admin authority for Vista.  This will help with many programs running on Vista!

    You dont have a router?

    How do you connect to the internet, just curious, as most companys now include a router with the setups.

    Do you run any anti-virus or firewalls? Try temporarily disabling them. If that doesn't work my only other guess is your ISP is the problem. I played AC on Comcast Cable and Bellsouth DSL without problems.
