I've been playing WOW for a number of years now and its time for change. I really want a game that has hardcore pvp and is very strategie based. Anyone of any games thats like this?
I think EVE is going to be your best bet, its pvp is hardcore and if you dont plan what your doing very carefully you can end up losing 2-3 days worth of game play
Ya Ive played Cov Coh Guild wars and had a great time playing them all but im trying to find a better game. And im also those 2 but i just really want to play something new till they come out. My friend keeps saying Dark Fall looks amazing and it does but it always seems to be getting pushed back. Ill try the free trial of Eve and see how i like it

I would not recommend EVE, although it IS a very hardcore game (number crunching ftw?) and definitely makes you rely on your strategy to be successful. However, it's not a game for everyone... for me, I hated it. I don't like how it takes real-life time to get your skill ups, meaning you are always going to be behind the guys who started before you.
With that said, I would also recommend Guild Wars. It's very easy to play, but the PvP has some of the best strategy I've seen if you get in a good guild who really cares about PvP and strategy. It can be very fun, depending on the people you play it with.
You may want to define your version of "hardcore pvp" because many people have different views about a "hardcore" game .

Indeed EVE isent a game for everyone, i didnt get much into it befor i left but as Hardcore pvp goes i think its the best mmo out there for it. Park does have a point that you will be behind alot of people when you start, and its going to take some time befor your in any position to get into the pvp aspect of it, probably more time than the trail offers unfortunaly.
As for guild wars i do love it as a game, but i dont consider it being a hardcore pvp game, as has been said, you may need to define that abit more, i find GW pvp to fizzle out after several fights as there isent any real lose if you lose, unless ofc your going for the titles.

I’ve tried LOTRO, Everquest II, Cabal, 2moons and RF. Nothing special.
I don’t know about EVE, but probably Guild Wars would be a good choice.
Personally, I’m just waiting for AoC and mainly WAR.
