That video was actually the third part. I couldn't get one of the parts to play for some reason. But there are links to the other two parts on the original link posted.

This is awesome.  The more I read the more I like it.  I have for a while wanted a more intuitive system implemented in games.  I think that games in general have to move away from it being a complete science and more of an intuitive system.

My question here is, will I as a player be able to move my shield icons around in pvp and if so how will I control this aspect of the game?

Any answers or educated guesses are welcome.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

It may only be a small improvement over point and click but hell, I'll take it.

Is what can be seen in the first video all there it is about this new combat thing? Because if it is ... looks very lame.

No currently directions and hotbar style change at around lvl 40 I learnt in Oslo. There are some differences in training feats and specific trainers for PvP. Wait for the full on PvP footage to come in a short while time. When they have it working and looking good enough they will release media for it.

Best way I can describe it is "hands on"

I don't know if you have played Guild Wars but the mouse movement is very similar, with the keys though (if you use mouse with right hand) your left hand is kept busy timing presses of certain directions for attacks (especially melee) (Q,1,2,3,E and the Combo Options usually keys 1-6 or 1-8 maybe) you also have movement options from W,A,S,D and defensive moves like Z,X,C. You have to keep an eye on the opponents shields too because alot of melee attack lead from certain directions.

You know when I was being told how to work it, I kinda got lost in listening and ended up just going with the flow, it sounds a little tough to do, but its pretty neat. You feel like your involved in combat as you actually have to get "up in someones face" if its melee your playing. Lets lots more too it then I described esp for diff classes. I hope you get into beta to see for yourself. Its quite easy to move around and yet you feel like you have a full arsenal of different types of attacks to do at anyone time.

For me, I think the Dynamic Shields were a brilliant idea. When I played I was properly focused on the enemy and on my team with everything displayed nicely. The the ability to map different keys and the promise of extra customization in the U.I. it looks promising. To be honest I couldn't even contemplate how they had it set up earlier in the year, I think the combat change/evolution from previous design was needed, and I am gratefull to of never tried it.
