The graphics and animation looks good but how is the game play and the world? Same ole mmogrindfest or something new and interesting to look forward to ?
it's the same old thing over and over again, I would probably recommend this to a pvp enthusiast, but that's about it, in fact people were arguing about the grind level, incredibly slow, graphics are dated and the server performance is very questionable, it's in open beta at the moment, the USA/Canada servers.
***I'll just copy and paste my experience from the game which I posted in the Cabal forums on this site.***
Things I liked..
* Art style is very nice. * Animations and special effects are just beautiful. * Soundtrack is okay if not a bit repetitive IMHO but the built in juke box player that you can customize is a big plus. * Zones seem to be decently laid out. * Combat is fluid and interesting. * The combo system is fun and very interactive once you understand it.
Things I didn't like...
* The game world and towns seem very, very small. * Instancing is way over done IMHO. * The in game quests are boring and repetitive. * The in game lore is either non-existent or just too convoluted. * The repetitive grind of leveling is not broken up effectively. * Lag will periodically get you kicked from the server * Player customization in appearance and armor is almost nill. * Only one race in game to play. * Potion spam is not my cup of tea, especially for pvp games. * The dungeons or what you can call dungeons are somewhat lame IMHO.
Oh yeah almost forgot.....You have to be online to sell items, storage is limited, item mall mechanic in play and that's about covers it I think. I didn't try my hand at crafting yet so I can't comment on it.
P.S. Forgot one last item.....No Z-Axis so no jumping for you.
Games I've played/tried out:WAR, LOTRO, Tabula Rasa, AoC, EQ1, EQ2, WoW, Vangaurd, FFXI, D&DO, Lineage 2, Saga Of Ryzom, EvE Online, DAoC, Guild Wars,Star Wars Galaxies, Hell Gate London, Auto Assault, Grando Espada ( AKA SoTNW ), Archlord, CoV/H, Star Trek Online, APB, Champions Online, FFXIV, Rift Online, GW2.
I couldn't stay interested long enough to get to its 'unique' feature, comboing attacks. And that's only level 10.
Mythos is more fun.

i play cabal more then a year its the best game i play so far but there are some mines points also let me tell you the good and bed things of cabal good things great grapics run on old comp like my ^^ wonder full skills cant w8 to get update episode 2 with new completer skills great quest later when high lvl beter quest en dugeons and beleef me you need all the power you have to do the duegeons no mercie for the weak 6 great classes 1 blader 2 force blader 3 warrior 4 force schielder 5 wizard 6 force archer so plenty ti pick ^^ the bad things towns are small all look almost the same skill grinding if you dont like that dont play this game ok this game is not about fast lvl if you do you very weak at the end its beter to lvl to lvl 40 then skill grind you ass of lol with premium like me you go faster and can uses trainings dummy for 30 % of you skill lvl the rest you need to do your self the game has only 1 pvp server there now busy testing a war ground for the 2 nations for the rest try it you self am a blader lvl 96 and warrior lvl 20 last 1 a force blader lvl 101 ^^ cya take care
wow noob this is not school. u sound like a nerd, man go read a book or somthing.
It's extremely hard for people to read a huge wall of text, with no punctuation in it. If the concept of commas is too hard to grasp for him, then he should at least learn how to use periods, or nobody will even bother to try and read what he writes.
- some (yes, only some, after you reach a really high level - there are no good skills in the beginning) flashy skill graphics
- editable jukebox for background music
- lots of quests early on to make leveling slightly easier
The bad:
- VERY repetitive, means 99% grind and 1% quests (which involve grind or go talk to various NPCs all over the place without a convenient way of travel other than walking)
- No good skills in the beginning, which makes it very boring - simply hack and slash with 1 or 2 sword skills that takes a humongous chunk out of your mana
- Very hard to level in the beginning since HP does not regenerate, and for some reason the amount of exp required to level at level 1 is similar to level 10 O_o
- It's very weird that all the classes have the same skills O_o (I'm level 21 and I have absolutely no unique skills for my class, not sure if it branches out a little in the end)
- No character customization, practically all the characters look the same - the designers are even too lazy to change the appearance of the armor and weapons. It only changes appearance every 50 levels or so... in between there are just modifications of the colour. This is especially true for wizard and blader armor - they all look like pyjamas O_o
- The game is way too complicated and long for my liking, skills take FOREVER to train (I'm level 21 out of the max of 110 or so, and my skill level is sublevel 1/42 of "apprentice" O_o - each skill level has like tons of "sublevels" that you have to reach in order to advance to the next "rank" - how to gain skill levels? Simply hack and slash your way through 10 billion mobs)
If you simply like games for its graphics and smooth performance than Cabal might be worthwhile. Otherwise this disappointing game lacks all forms of content other than grind.
Sucki. Chan i still see you have no full understanding of this game just go back to playing WoW or something cuz it seems you cant play a game that requires effort. All the same skills you must be crazy im a lvl 26 blader and i have like 3 class specific skills i can buy. 1% quest im seriously getting pissed at people like you THE WHOLE FREAKIN GAME DUMPS DOZENS OF QUESTS ON YOU! the grind only come lvl 100+ and 44 to 49 when you dont get alot of quests and thats to help you with skill rank. plus you can get adept gear dummy which can give +5 skill exp per kill and thats like awsome. Character customization is alright so far ive found a cuztomization of har style and colour + face that no one looks like me yet. YOU KNOW ITS STILL OPNE BETA!!!!!! HAVE YOU SEEN EPISODE 2 FOR THE OTHER VERSIONS!!!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW TO USE YOUR COMBOS???? OR HOW ABOUT YOUR AURA????? DID U FOLLOW THE HELP GUIDE FOR STAT DISTRIBUTION OR ARE YOU THE PERSON THAT GOES STRAIGHT INTO A GAME WITHOUT DOING ANY RESEARCH!!!!!!
this game is awsome if you actually try and play it
I have a lot of experience with MMORPGs, and I think your average K-town free to play cyberbang game is crap.
However, I like Cabal Online, and think that a lot of the posters here who said, "Cabal Online is ugly/boring/grindy I prefer [other free to play ugly/boring/gindy game] is better" are totally deluding themselves, and have no taste for MMORPGs.
The bottom line is that the combo system makes the game more interesting than 95% of MMORPGs out there, which are sadly weak and unchallenging in the gameplay mechanic.
That said, Cabal Online is still a MMORPG and you'll still be expeted to kill a lot of the some kind of mobs. The question you need to be asking yourself is: do you enjoy fighting those mobs? If the answer is, "No, I'm only here to gain levels and bulk up my e-peen and it annoys me that they put this gameplay here" then you might as well head back to whatever grind you started with until you are adequately enlightened.
Honestly, I'm surprised Cabal Online isn't listed more prominantly on MMORPG.com. The servers are packed full of interested players right now, and it's only been in North America for a week and a half.
for weeks into open beta the bugs are almost non-existant, gameplay offers more unique gameplay than i have seen in any free mmo.
all mmos are grind games, this game does something rare, it makes the grind fun.
the skills in this game are absolutley beautiful, and there are tons of them.
my favoriote part of the grind is that you level at a resonable pace, you wont hit level 40 and find yourself grinding for weeks to hit 50. if you like quests this game has almost too many quests, enough to keep the quest junky happy.
combos add a unique fun factor to killing mobs, battle mode, aura, battle mode special skills ect add depth to the game, all while looking extremely cool.
play the game for a few days, youll be lv 40-50 and youll see why most of the above reviews that say "this game is the same crap" and "the same old" are 100% wrong
I started playing it last night. leveling seems reasonable (not too much grinding yet). Got a skill through questing and bought Regeneration skill.
I have been given the option to upgrade my sword skills on multiple occasion and upgraded skill that I rely on. I have a couple of questions for the people who play this game regularly, I did some readiing but ended up beeing tired and crashing out on my bed.
How do I upgrade the magic skill (Regeneration)?
Is there a way to select the next target without clicking? (in some games you kill 1 monster and select the next monster with a hotkey, smash keys like crazy till it dies. Select the next target with a hotkey and smash keys again continue for 5 mins and get a new keyboard.)

Just another asain mmorpg which does nothing different and has the same cloned graphics....

Just another crappy item shop game.

I lasted 'bout 5 mins when it came out before (I guess it was the international version). Nothing new imho
Cabal is junk IMO.
2Moons is much better.
I think it's a pretty good game even though I've played to level 17 and now I'm bored out of my mind. I need PvP to keep me interested.
It's a standard post-WoW quest grinder with an interesting combo system. Nothing special, but not total crap.
boring crap.

Punctuation is your friend. Learn to use commas and periods.
wow noob this is not school. u sound like a nerd, man go read a book or somthing.
hey how do u use training dummies?
It's extremely hard for people to read a huge wall of text, with no punctuation in it. If the concept of commas is too hard to grasp for him, then he should at least learn how to use periods, or nobody will even bother to try and read what he writes.
What I found funny was that you called him a noob for recommending punctuation and you ended up using punctuation (or trying to, rather).
Bravo.
