you couldn't pay him to say anything bad about this game. he's right up there with the old vanguard crew.
The WoW forums are that way ------------------------->. I give you credit though, your sig depicts your persona very well......TROLL.
Awe hell Avery, if you are a blind fanboi then I guess I am guilty by association. Im still absolutely shocked that a closed beta has......bugs.*gasp* Who would have thought?

All im trying to say is I respect the NDA.
I've played the game upfront, put footage up of time playing it. Other did the same too.
Yea im a fan, so do take then into consideration when reading. If you notice alot of the time I just post a link to the info, I don't say its right or wrong, I leave it to make your mind up yourselves. Its not like anyone here doesnt understand how a games development works.
I wish you all could of played the version of the game I did and see for yourself there was nothing to hide.
I hope thru trials / buddie keys or whatever, people give the game ago then they can judge for themselves.
They were pumped to put the game out end of March and now they are focused on the May launch date which still stands. Its going to be awhile after that for the xbox 360 launch.
Seeing as Avery is probably the one best informed about this game apart from the other people who were at the Oslo-Event, I am willing to give his information far more credit than anyone else who is ranting about what their friends heard from their friends who are supposedly in Beta. Someone who has been at the offices of FunCom and got to see and play the game as the Developers are working on it now obviously knows a little bit more about it than most people in this Forum.
What strikes me as odd is that everyone is trying to refute everything Avery says just because he is a fan of the game. Does that lessen the fact that he's been there and seen the stuff he did? Sure, I'm not about to take every opinion he presents (regarding how great the game will be) as face value, but I am willing to take his views on how complete the game is over most other people here. Again, how can you ignore the fact he was in the offices and played the most current version of the game there?
Im not refuting anything he says. However if you have 2 guys, one who has recieved gifts from a company and one who hasnt, who do you think is going to be more objective?
I'm still going to believe more of the one who has actually seen the game in its current stage as compared to the people who quote people who quote still other people. As I said, I take the statements with a grain of salt myself and at least -TRY- not to be too hyped up about how great the game will be and how innovative it will be. But regarding mere playability and the current state of the game, I will trust the one who has been there to see the game over someone who claims to have a friend who knows a friend in the (not up to current build) Beta.
Its the same reason we get watered down reviews from this website, theyre getting paid for the advertisements...Again not objective.
So is not objective the same thing as false or lie? Can not objective also mean it could be the truth? Also, are you completely without bias and being fully objective yourself?

Skepticism is the corner stone of objectivity. I dont believe anything until I have physical proof. It drives my wife nuts that I have to have proof of anything and everything. Im more objective than most. Im not really excited about this game, nor am I unwilling to give it a try. Personally I dont care either way, Ill give it a try, but Im not going to put stock into any of it until I have played the game 6 months down the road after theyve had time to work out the kinks.
avery so angry it almost.. almost sounds like he would start losing faith in FC if they don't meet the next deadline i on the otherhand have been burned the point where I will not have faith until the game is IN-MY-HANDS
It didn't seem like Avery was being angry at all.
Then again, he wasn't complaining about how many holidays Funcom staff were taking...

aha you!
Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions.
I am giving you the trinityNITRO promise that this game will launch on May 20th. I also know that this game will have very few bugs, and will be one of the most polished MMO's to date. Have you seen the new website? Have you seen the new video's AMAZING AVERY has posted?? Have you seen the new developer information?? Have you heard about the beta?? OPEN YOUR EYES & EARS ... it's time to believe!!
I think there is no way AOC will be pushed back again.
FC stock has allready plunged because of last push back. At this point they stand to loose more money by not releasing the game, than releasing it even if its borked.
has the release date been pushed back again? I went in to pay some on my preorder at gamestop today and they told me that the release had been pushed back. I said "yeah to May, I read that already." The guys says no its been pushed back to September now. anyone heard/read anything about another release date change?
It has not officially been moved back but its only a matter of time. Neither AoC or Warhmmer will release before Xmas (unless they experience some severe financial problems similar to what forced Sigil into releasing VG a year early) of this year and both may not release until 2009.
Release dates are just the for marketing and to keep fan boys frothing at the mouth. They are not to be taken seriously.

So no delay this time
And as for game not being or not being buggy...
I have to say only one thing
POSITIVES will outweight the NEGATIVES
From what i seen and read so far.
So GO! Funcom! GO!
Deliver the barbarian baby allready

Their last delay did not drop their stock but a few dollars, and it is now just as high as it was before the announcement.
The October delay is a different story; that was a plunge. But it wasn't the last delay.
