Looking for a game with meaningfull play.
Hey guys, before i get into it ill give a little bit of my MMO history. Iv played almost every major MMORPG out there and a few not so well known ones, i wont waste ur time naming them all heh but I would have to say my favorite 3 are WoW, Everquest 2, and L2. Each of these games are different from each other with thier own apeals and well turnoffs heh. But after playing them all and going to endgame im always left looking for somthing more that no game i have played has realy offerd and that is the ability to actualy truly be able to affect and change the world i play in. Id like to find a game where taking down a boss means more than just getting loot or doing qsts for NPCs claiming im partaking in some kind of grand struggle that i never realy get to partake in or experiance bc it doesent realy exist outside of the text ever present mobs no matter what u do. Id like to find a world where if for example i decide to sack a city it actualy effects the world instead of just spawning more guards in an hour or if i stumble across a giant capitol ship and take it down it does more than just give me bragging rights but actualy affects a greater strugle thats going on in the world. I guess im just sick of all the talk and no show in the mmos iv played where ur nothing more than another avatar in the game who realy has no chance of control over the world. Not even sure if theres a game that fits what im looking for but if u know of one please let me know.

Hey, I thought the same way as you and made a post and I was reccommended to Wurm Online. It's not so known game, but a really fantastic one. Check it out at www.wurmonline.com

Well i checked out Wurm and it doesent quite hit what im looking for. Although it gives u the ability to basicaly create the world it seams to lack what made all the other games iv played great in that the combat isnt well done, graphics (although not most important) are not very great even though im sure some ppel could look past that, world backdrop doesent give u much to work with or go on ect. ect. It seams like it would be a great choice for somone looking for a world builder sim or the such but not exactly what im looking for. It would be great if i could just find a game that gives the meaningfull play and control of world without losing what makes other games like WoW, EQ2, L2, FFxi and the such great games.

<p>Sorry man the game your looking for is not out there yet. We have come a little ways in Tech and advancements creep up from time to time but nothing really on the level your looking for. I hate to say it but really for the game that most of us are wanting all the need to do is wait 20 years.</p>
<p> Meanwhile you seem to be doing what the rest of us are. Play whats out and hope for something a little more close to what we want from the next game.</p>
