Order/Destruction numbers?

Ok I'm in the same boat as the rest of you guys n girls, patiently waiting for the release of this potentialy epic mmorpg!
Im not going to talk about gameplay, rvr, stats, abilites, spells, or which class is better than another or even why Sir Paul MaCarrtneys ex wives get So much publicity on u.k television, because the game isn't even released yet and the Proof is ALWAYS in the pudding! ...its hard I know but we must be strong and wait my friends.
No stranger to mmo's (I'ts ok im not going to list them all) My small concern is this. Do you think that too many peeps are going to be choosing Destruction over Order? And what would the consequences of this will be in regards to City sacking, Battlegrounds, genral questing ect....Would we find that the Elite group of the mmorp gaming world (you know who you are!) would choose Order just beacuse it going to be a much higher challenge in regards to many Damn Destruction? (Raises hand at this point and confesses to being one of the destruction brethen)
Or am I worrying for nothing and we will find that numbers tend to even themselves after launch (To be honest with most mmo's I have played this seems to be the case)
It's just that I keep seeing so many many forums with peeps proudly stating Destruction over Order (and rightly so )..or am I wrong?
(Guess im worried that there are going to me and 432 other Joe bloggs waiting for that spawn so we can finish that quest!)
Can I hear from some of the voices of Order, are there any? if so make you voices know (mainly because I want to know I will at least have a few Peeps to kill in game)

Honestly I'll play both on different servers. My first main may be in order however. Population balance is a minor concern but it is a concern.
Not so much in the Scenarios (NPCs will spawn to help even things out), but in the open world RvR. Now do large numbers help, yes, But from playing DAoC for years and on a lower pop realm for all of them (midgard) numbers aren't everything.
Plus WAR isn't good vs evil, order is really jsut as evil as destruction. Just order has a reason for their evilness, where destruction is jsut well crazy freaks liek to fight.
It's because i heard of the Destruction overpopulation that I'm choosing order

Most vets MMO player will be Destruction.
Most Warhammer fans will be destructions.
Most servers will be heavily crowded in favor of the Order.
I am playing a Wood Elf so far (unless they add a COLD WAR-PvE server), so I won't be either.

the dark elves alone will guarantee that destruction will have more players than order. people also don't like being dwarfs so they will really only have 3 races to choose from in the order. destruction will dominate the numbers.
And stop getting your hopes up for a PvE server, you'll just be disappointed in the end.

Destruction will be full of kiddies IMO. Could be wrong but I almost never am. Of course if you look at some of the class skills you might switch to order too.

I am wondering how they will balance the servers if there is a really faction heavy server. Anyone know? I have been waiting on WAR for a while I guess I will have to keep waiting. And MY choice BTW is ORC FTW ONE BIG BADASS MEAN MOTHER OF A BLACK ORC OR AN ORC CHOPPA DON'T YA JUST LOVE THE NAME...

I've gone from a quite obvious choice of Destruction to believing Order might be the way to go.
I think my first character will have to be a Chaos Marauder, Mutation FTW
The chaos guys look great !! I love the eyes all over their armour. But it is still ORC for me. However, if I was to choose order I would have to go with a dwarf runepriest sounds like a interesting class. Human is the last thing I want to be. And elves to snobby imo.

And SIr I would answer that skinny elffy challenge with a resounding toothy "WHAAAAAGGG" so yeah bring it on !!!! I will say this is killing me waiting for this game not playing anything for awhile. I have even thought about re installing WOW I just cannot bring myself to do it. No other game seems to do anything for me at the moment.
I lasted about 2 weeks, then it actually became painful to log in anymore.
I'm just trying to get by until I can try WAR (or AoC for that matter).
Reading forums gives you a skewed view of the world. I think it's been shown time and time again, that although forum posters may declare in large numbers for the "evil" side of any battle, that forum posters end up being the minority of players in a popular MMO, and that the majority of folks that just pick up a box off the shelf and never read forums will play the good guys.
The general public often likes to play the good guy, and look like the good guy, so it's a popular choice. I would not worry about Destruction having overwhelming numbers in their favor.
Even so, Iike most people I do worry about population balance. IMO, it's not so fun to play a side, like in DAoC, where you are fighting an overwhelming number of the enemy. I hope there is something to do so that the Devs can at least encourage balance.
Something like this might help: When you choose a server, you first pick which side you want to play, Destruction or Order. Then you get a list, and the list is ordered by which side needs more players first.
For example, you pick Destruction, and the first server on the list is the server which has the most imbalance, with few Destruction and more Order. Of course you can scroll down and pick any server, but sometimes people just pick the one at the top of the list, so this might help.
I also wonder will we get any indication of population balance on a server before we join? I'd like to be able to decide to help the underdogs, or not join a server that is way out of wack, like 3 to 1, which wouldn't be fun to play for either the underdog, or the top dog.

Population imbalances are a concern to me as well. Eventually I'll play both sides, on multiple server types but initially I'll be on the side of Order.
Severe imbalances can really affect the open world PVP zones as I recall from my days in DAOC, however there's usually ways to compensate if not too bad. I do recall that the Mids sufferred the worst in that game, frequently having to team up with either the Albs or Hibs to do damage to the third party. (or just play spoilers)
Depending how my first character experience goes, my 2nd one might be rolled on a server that has the best balance (assuming we can figure that out somehow)

Smack-talking kiddies who think that the veneer of "evil" somehow will translate into leet PvP mad skillz.
They will insist they are hardcore, experienced PvPers the whole time that ORDER -- where the real MMO vets will be -- is kicking their butts in through every tier and into the capital city.

I think it will ultimately balance itself, with an even amount of vets on each side. For every skilled vet, however, there will be a noob, maybe 2-5 even. It seems that most of the people that want to psychoanalyze the gaming community to rationalize their decision are picking Destruction (not meant to be a flame to the pseudo-intellectuals out there).
I'm picking Order for the same reason that most of the Order vets are. Classes. I don't know which race I'm going to play, but I've picked classes out of the Order races a lot easier than the Destruction races. After I become familiar with the game, however, I will try Destruction (and all the races within). Though at day 1, I'll be on the side of Order.
Then again, I'm not in beta and I'm not psychic, so I can predict the future, but accuracy is not guaranteed.
