Players who subscribe to the new plan will continue to be billed $59.84 every six months for as long as they maintain an active account with Dungeons and Dragons Online, or until they choose a different billing plan. Great payment plan and a respectable savings. This is likely being offered to infuse Turbine with some cash while establishing incentive to be here in 6 months. Being I updated my subscription this morning prior to knowing this was availble I'll again go ahead and add 6 months to the existing 3 I had paid for. The game is good enough to warrant it.
Before the naysayers scream know that laying claim to Doom & Gloom is easy. Make sure you know what you're talking about with the current state of the game since too many have not played the game since it went retail and the game is a hell of a lot better since Beta. There's a current trend of people talking out their backsides while not knowing much of anything about the game in its current state. At least read up so we can have a laugh together.
So, the cost of the game: 9.99 for core CD/DVD key + 59.89 = 69.88 before taxes. This gives is the cost for 7 months of game time for a new player. Not bad at all!

This isn't the surprise for 2yr aniv they were talking about is it? That's still coming in 6.1 right? This is still a good deal which I think I may have to snag. Just curious was all. Thanks for posting this news mindspat.

I think I'm going to buy some Beer with the savings.
I would have been willing to do a 3 months for $30 but 6 months for $60 when I am already doing the 3 months for $30 for LOTRO. 6 months is a slight strech, but I will see after playing more DDO over this month.
As has been said a bunch of time I wish Turbine would do a package deal for the two games. They seem to have both games going in the right direction and I look forward to playing them.

Yeah, I would have been happier with 3 months for $30 like LOTRO...I am reasonably certain I will be playing DDO through April; but in May, AoC comes out, and all bets are off.
