Need help resetting WOW realm lists.

I was away on vacation overseas and had someone house sitting for me. Long story short when I got home they had changed my WOW to a private server.

Could someone please tell me how to put it back to the subscription realm? I would need step by step instructions as I am not completely computer literate. And yes I would ask my friend to set it back for me, but now he is away on bussiness in France and I can not reach him.

I have tried finding the answer on Google but it is all private server stuff. I would greatly appreciate any help.

Just delete the realmlist.wtf file (in the default WOW directory) and it will be automatically generated next time you start up WOW.

Search for file realmlist.wtf, open it with notepad, and change it's contents to

    set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com

    set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com

The game should work then, assuming you have EU version of the game. With NA version it works similarly, except you'd have to use us login server and us patch server addresses. I don't know what those are, and I'm not in the mood to check out to help someone whose game doesn't work because using pirate servers.

EDIT: I didn't see Cavius's post when writing this. His method is probably better than the one I suggested.

There's something wrong with mmorpg.com, it just keeps saying "page couldn't be reached", when I try to send messages (or edits to those)/EDIT
