f2p but no more keys?

in Fury

Just noticed that Fury is f2p now, wanted to create an account but apparently I need a key for that.

Unfortunately it seems like either the keys are all out at the moment, or there never have been any or I simply can't find 'em.

Anyone knows if just going to be f2p soon, was but no longer is f2p, or anything else?

    From what I've come to understand, the keys have run out some how, and perhaps they are 'making more'.  Free to Play feature has been active since December 14th's Age of Chosen patch.  This 'key outage' has been going on since yesterday.  I'm sure we'll know whats soon.

    No an answer may not be found there. There are no facts, just you sitting around thinking about what could be going on and what could not be.  it is nothing but speculations.  I've been monitoring your posts in the last few days and you've written three long posts within the span of 1hr and a half about the same thing.  I've read them all, thoroughly, and they mostly make sense, but again, its all speculation.  Now going to other posts and replying with a link to your 'conspiracies' stating that an answer may be found there doesn't help anyone. 

    As for the keys, there has been progress on this issue.  Before, it would inform you that there are no more keys, but currently you're notified that they are currently making more keys.  Perhaps if we give it more time we will see what will happen.

    I actually payed $50 for it... and now, even if its free; I wouldn't play it. Its pathetic, the PvP sucks thanks to all the heal spamming... Just like Guild Wars.

    Waiting for: Darkfall, WAR, Guild Wars 2.

    I recon they want to kill the game, theres no reason to stop giving out keys unless they want to shut the server down and save what little money they can.

    Auran aren't killing Fury, I think its just the rapid turnover of new people making a new account and quitting, mixed with the number of people who are experienced, making new accounts to 'farm' gold.

    I have a few accounts, 4 paid actually. If Auran is to blame for the sudden 'loss' of keys, it is either they didnt expect so many downloads, OR they are trying to encourage more people to buy the game again.

    I will have to link a site a read earlier on google, it was saying that the developers havent given up on Fury, infact its quite the opposite. There is still a core team of 15 people working on the game, but the reason they havent been patching etc is because they are working on a revised version of the game, which will be shown at the Game Developers Conference in San Fran, in March I believe.

    Im crossing my fingers that this isnt just a sham, because anything to get Fury up and running PROPERLY will make me happy.

     

    On a side note, discussions of outsourcing the software are still lingering, depending on how the Game Developers thing goes.

    If anyone has a link etc to post, or a correction to add, feel free :)

    You will probably find there wont be many chosen keys for a little while... especially if it involves patching to add the new keys into the game database or whatever.

     

     

    Hold tight, I'm sure theyre working on it. More keys = More money.

    Great but now I can't patch,it downloads the patch but got stuck at like 50% for half an hr before I  had to ctrl-alt-del out of it, I tried restarting the patch and it adviced me to reinstall the client, i tried patching anyway and it  givesmessages of a bunch of files "already been patched" until it reached the halfway point again and stops at "Existing file appears to have been patched already: E:BackupProgram FilesFuryGOGameContentMapsBB_BuriedCity.fmap"

    Srsly Systi ur doing a fkn good job and i know a hell of alot of ppl appreciate it - ur helping to give alot of players hope - also say  a big thank you from all of us to the rest of the fury team for sticking with it - tell them not to listen to the morons who flame them coz they wouldnt know a good game if it kicked them in the teeth. 

    really glad to see they arent goin down without a hell of a fight. ive gone from chosen to hero and without a doubt if i can see some light at the end of the tunnel i will be subscribing to immortal. keep it up!

    so I managed to patch it eventualy, I had to cancel and start over a bunch of times, each time it got about 1% further.

    Its almost like manually adding 1 file at a time
