in Planetside

does planetside offer a free trial because ive been looking at their website and it says that i can try the game for 30 days for a special price and thats got nothing free about it....

so does the game actually offer a free trial or do i just have to pay for it ???

    I can get you a buddy key which will let you try the game for free for 10 days if you really want it....

    You can still buy it from www.fileplanet.com for $9.99... and that would be the best way to go

    $9.99 is cheap for the full month Gamespy is charging.  Normaly the game still sells for more than 9.99 and a month of normal sub playtime is over $12.  The Devs stoped putting out free trials because of they had started to hurt more than help.  With only a email account needed people would sign up for more than one and mess with the playerbase spaming and tk. Disgruntled people who had been kicked would get these "free accounts" and still cause problems reaver spaming friendly Galaxies and going out of their way to cause frustration to the paying customers.  Becase this game has no NPCs, the only targets for XPs are other players.  With skill a New player can just as easily kill a person who has played forever.  If you do decide to get an account My guess is that you will be happily supprised.

    I picked up the game for 19.99 and the expansion for 9.99, the devs are still working the bugs out, but I got my 30 days free, after the first week, I knew I would continue on with my subscription. If you like an FPS with hints of an MMORPG, this is worth it.

    Now if I can only get an all access pass for Planetside and Galaxies.

    Yeah, I would have shelled out the money for the all access pass if it included SWG too, but sadly after reading the fine print I also discovered the sad truth that it didn't include SWG.

    While i really hate SoE the free trial with only an email had to stop.

    I would have said CC details like some games are doing though.

    Quite often you would have some guy in a max stand and TK his own empire simply because he can just go make another account in a few minutes.

    If they could just create an all access pass that includes SWG, Planetside and EQII that would be perfect I think it is a little retarded to pay monthly fees to the same company seperately.
