I'm looking for a game (even happy to consider one that will be comming out this year) that does not have a main focus of PvP. But has a considerable amount of end-game PvE content. The larger the group size to conquer dungeons etc, the better.
I don't want to play a game that's been out for a while, I've done some research and its come down to either Vanguard, AoC or WAR. (Yea, yea I know WAR is serious PvP). I don't really want to play Lord of the Rings, because if it follows LotR Lore, then once we kill the Lord of Mordor... its game over man. I want a game that can potentially continue in the sense that end game dungeons will constantly be added, and the bosses will always be more and more powerful (but not so much that the Lore starts to not make sense)
But I have been reading the Vanguard forums and everyone seems to be complaining that the game doesn't run smoothly, and the playerbase is small. (I'm just about ready to buy vanguard to try it out and make that decision for myself, because no one seems to want to send me a buddy key so I can trial it.)
AoC looks awesome, I love the idea of an M rated mmorpg. Cartoonish WoW-style MMO's with toned down... everything to meet the Teen rating is lame.
At the moment I'm playing WoW (somebody save mee!) and I really want to get into a more mature/serious RPG instead of playing with PuG's that can't play their class for shit.
If I don't find a MMO then I'm just going to play Star Craft 2 and see what MMO's there are in 2010.
If you guys have anythign to say about Vanguard/AoC/WAR let me know!
Cheers

if you want good pve Id recommend EQ2.
However since its not on your list... and Vanguard... well they are just adding end game pve... so probably not a good choice either.
WAR is not going to have the pve you want.
Conan might, but from what I have heard its more pvp based as well.
PVE your three biggies are WoW, EQ2, and EQ1 IMO
Try Cabal Online or Maplestory (Pure PvE and upto 4th Job Class :P) So i recommend trying Maplestory if u want hardcore PvE and have lots of time to grind till 100+
Thanks for the replies guys,
I will have a look at eq2, cheers for the suggestion.
Maplestory is a bit too old for me.
u can Pve in lineage 2 but everyone else gonna hardcore Pvp u ^^
j/k l2 is great but not the right stuff fo u.
