playing on diff servers

i know they have American servers and European servers and stuff and i seen in the website that someone in Europe can play on the American servers but i was wondering how do they do this. Im sorry if this has been posted already but i could not find it.

i know this. hehe just how when i preorder mine it didnt ask me what sercer i was going to play on i guess cause it has my shipping address and billing address so i knows im not sure but i have friends that want to play on the us version and we are just not sure how that works
Retailers will send you the version you are supposed to get based on your mailing address I would think.
To buy one not designated for your area I would think you'd have to contact them directly and request the other version.

Don't quote me on this. I have read somewhere on the AoC site that servers would be IP based. That even if you bought the American copy, since your IP would be in Europe you would still only get the Europe servers. This way they can 'edit' what some ppl see.
We are therefore not doing this to set up artificial boundaries, but to give you all the best possible time in Hyboria. If there is an absolute wish for you, or your guild, to play on another continent you will need to do so at your own initiative, meaning having to secure copies from abroad. below is a link from where i found this its in the third paragraph.

im a bit disapointed that i wont get to play with usa people, you have some great people there and i will miss the possibility the interact with you
on the other hand, mmo wouldnt be the same without players from german, heil to the hardcore players
