SWG

Which should i play and why?

I didnt play either but...

If you want a long term grid, go with FF XI.

If you want a faster and more casual friendly game, go with SWG.

Both are good at what they are doing, but they are really not doing the same thing...

Neither- you must be able to find a better game. You could wait for EQ2, WoW and guild wars and save your cash.

I havent played FFXI but from what i hear there is a quite time consuming level grind, and you are more or less forced to group at later levels if you want to get anywhere in the game. Also its anime style, which has a select audience which i dont fall into.

SWG on the other hand is quite fun for maybe a few months, but would probably become boring, so i think it may be the game you want if your only waiting for EQ2 etc. Basically the only problem i had was that you level too quickly. There are several careers, and what you are meant to do is basicallylevel all the ay through each of them in turn and eventually you will become a jedi. I became a master commando after 3 months of not overly heavy playing, and though i played more than most people i dont constantly grind levels when i am on. But once i had reached my goal of mastering commando i really didnt want to have to relinquish all my skills and start again for another career, because to me none of them were anywhere near as fun as commando, so i played for a few weeks and got in some PvP and then left. It has a good community, and the best PvP i have seen to far. There is also a good interactions with all the other players and everything you will use is made for you by other players.

So i think you should pick SWG, unless you are wanting to stay with a game for a long time, in which case possibly FFXI.

FXII:

Is very Asian type of MMORPG. ASIANs (like too work hard) succes must not come quick and like their game most difficult(which is the only thing I like of these attributtes). So be prepared for pointless timesinks. Combat system was on the upper end and it has lots of secondary activities where very well done features.

The graphics where not my taste but I would have put up with them if these pointless time sinks would not have been there. FFXI has an image of Force grouping past lvl 15 this has some reasoning but did not hinder me to solo well when I wanted to (Red Mage/Thief).

All in al not an bad game but bring much time and patient.

SWG:

I missed out on this one due to its overall bad feedback. An psotive post about SWG is rare an iI have not come by many fanboys either. Cant realy tell you sorry.

I say uforget both of them and play som TIBIA......once u get over the graphics u will find that there is a great game 1) it is free 2)if u do play come to the world Pacera and me and me friends can hook u up 3)awesomeplayer interaction which is sommin i look for in games and so far havn't found many..... 4) has channels specificly specialized for game question trade and help channels

What type of game is Tibia? What is the combat system like? Trade skills, etc? Detailed info or relating to another MMOG would be very much appreciated

Would just rather another player's point of view than reading all the PC crap that goes on official sites.

Tibia in most ways in unigue u start off in rookguard <noobie island> and when lvl 8 u can go to the main island where there are 4 vocations Knights are ur typical knight and they block monsters for ppl.palidins are ur ranged weapons. sorcerers are ur offensive magic users. and ur druids make healin items. As far as skills go the skills are sword,club,axe,distance,shildingand fishing and u also have a magic lvl where u can make runes which are like magic items that u can use to well use a spell. u can eat food to regan mana and that lets u make runes and the more mana u use the better ur magic lvl will get and the more u will take with magic. i suggest every1 give this one a try it is free, short download,u can't judge the game b/c of the graphic or the 2-d u actuily have to play the game. i highly recomend this game

There was an survey that tried to sized up the Asian, European and the U. S. market to optimise released and produce design.
Note: this was about Computer games in general not MMORPG

The abbreviated essence was:
Asians: Like (very) difficult games.-(Goals must not be achieved fast else they is no accomplishment which seems to be very important factor).

Europeans: Like medium difficult games. (There is an tends build up things )

U.S.: Like easy difficulty games. (like to walkthrough).

I was just quoting form this survey. I dont see how saying Asian like it hard is being an racist. Nor do I see why this survey has racist aspect. If anything you could call it discriminating. That can be so but it does not change fat people from being fat if you got an problem with fat people being fat that your problem sorry.

DUDE this is your second post asking this, I already explained swg when you asked about it, FFXI is a huge grind, and when you die and loose xp you could have a chance of loosing level. No character customization. Nice anime graphics. nice inflated economy (not a good thing)

I vote for FFXI. Why? Because it has good graphics (in my opinion) and it is long term. It looks like a fantastic game. The only bad part about it, is that it is expensive. You probably shouldn't go with my judgement because I haven't even played it! But I just wanted to give my input. As for SWG, snibbles to that.

I played SWG trial version. I hated it at first, then loved it and thought i would be playing it long term, then i began to hate it again. Also, i was interacting with very skilled veteran players who knew exactly what they were doing. A friend who also played the game had a very successful business and introduced me to many people. The game is infact another world. However, it is still a game with its limits and regulations. You really can't shape the future, thats just how it is. I haven't played ffxi but i read much more negative reviews rather then positive. But then again, people that are actually having fun with the game rarely take the time out from playing to defend it in discussions such as this. I think you should look at games other then these 2 because there are tons out there that could be perfect for you. Just my opinion.
