And, oh yeah, it is very well made, some great flight scenes.
This is why people play EVE... alot of history in that game.. History that counts for something

These assaults are why so many play eve, these wars of politics are why so many play eve, its more then just going and attacking some raid boss with 20-30. These kinds of gangs happen all the time.

Are these movies of real battles that happen between players in EVE or were these pre-rendered EVE trailers that were just cut into the storyline of the movie maker?

Real nice video and makes you want to play EVE but when you're actually playing the game it isn't like that 99% of the time because you'll mainly just be waiting for skills to train before you can get to 0.0 which will take like a year to properly train basic skills needed. It's not like the old days in 2003 at launch where everyone was the same and all there was were people working towards cruisers and battleships but noone actually had one lol, much easier back then because everyone was on the same level. You can forget trying to solo unless you own like 8 accounts because EVE promotes the use of multiple accounts at the same time so alot of sad people with no lives pay for sooo many accounts and they'll just completly own you and your one account.
I dunno I liked EVE in the old days but for me it's gone to complete crap, specially now the server is overcrowded.
You see action like that in 0.0 all the time, just today the alliance im in had 2 fleet battles(Not with cap ships of that magnitude but ~100 vs. ~100 fights) and a few random skirmishes.
A year for basic skills to get into 0.0? LOL I was in 0.0 the day I made my character and didnt have a problem making cash or being productive in PvP. Also you only ever have to "wait" on skills if you are just sittin in a station waiting, if you leave and actually go play the game they go by fast. Dont know what you mean by "solo" but if you are talking making money, thats a complete lie, if you are talking PvP, also a complete lie. But this is a group based game and thinking you will run around and "solo" everything is out of the question b/c its just not a single player game.
You do not need a 2nd account at all, only if you have a cap ship you may want to have a cyno alt but beyond that....not really. Also, people with more than maybe 2 accounts do not pay for those accounts with real money, they buy GTCs with ISK. When you actually are playing the game and making a bil or more a week 400mil for a 90day GTC is a drop in the bucket. Having one account is completely viable, I did it myself for a long time, I got a 2nd one on a whim with the Power of Two deal, but I havnt used it much at all its been sittin in a station skilling up and will be for a long while. Dont fancy training for caps on my main so figured id have a side character do it.

Opinions...? im pretty sure what I stated was fact. You CAN go into 0.0 the first day and be viable, you CAN make money on a new character, You CAN Solo in PvP and PvE, You CAN only run one account and be completely successful, you CAN make enough money to pay for multiple accounts with ISK.
well...maybe YOU cant...all the tools are given to every player to achieve success, its what you do with them determains how successful you are.

Hey Greenstumps you are completely wrong, doesn't matter if you think you know you are right at all.
Back in the day, when i started about a year ago, i've played for 1 month. I loved the game, but i couldnt dedicate enough time to be super successful because RL took up most of my time. In that one month I amassed a ncie fortune. Its not hard soloing, but you WILL be better off joining a good corp that will help u. I;ve been picked up by a mining/industrial corp. I took a few loans, got me some nice haulers and miners and repaid in no time. We went onto strip mining whole Belts and what not, so becoming a success story isnt all that Hard.
