Great looking site, and the screenshots really do look awesome.

    Thanks for the link!

The following is from the Game Features page on the site.

    The First True Action MMORPG

    • Hi-Octane Excitement: Champions Online delivers furious, fast-paced encounters previously reserved for action and fighting games. No more boring auto attacks and lengthy recharge times. Champions Online combat is instantaneous — and electrifying!

    • Brains required: Every enemy and super-powered threat in Champions Online has its own unique abilities and combat specialties. Use your head — or wind up dead!

    • Bring friends, make friends: The Champions Online universe will be jam-packed with thousands of heroes, facing thousands of threats. Join up with other heroes, create your own superteam, and prepare to take on the ultimate threats!

Be the Hero You Want To Be
    • Total customization, at your fingertips: Choose from hundreds of different costume pieces, colors and body types to create your character's one-of-a-kind costume and look. There are billions of possible combinations, and in a universe brimming with the fantastic and the unforgettable, you can still be completely unique!

    • Your powers, on your terms: There are a multitude of astonishing powers to choose from in Champions Online, and its flexible character creation system gives you total control over your hero's abilities. You can even pick the appearance of your powers. Do you want purple force fields? Green fire blasts? Jet black claws? In Champions Online, you decide!

    • Keep your enemies close: Every hero must have an archenemy. In Champions Online, you design your character's supreme adversary, choosing a name, powers and costume for a superpowered foe to bedevil your hero throughout his or her career.

    • Bigger and better: Vanquish evil, and your successes will be rewarded with costume pieces to enhance your powers and abilities. Then customize the appearance of those rewards to your vision of your hero's look and abilities!

    Vast Universe
    • Endless exploration: The battle against evil in Champions Online rages across the world into outer space and alternate dimensions. No other MMOG offers players the chance to explore such diverse realms from the shining skyscrapers of Millennium City and the frozen wastes of Canada to the interstellar gladiatorial arena on the moon, the hidden underwater city of Lemuria and the foul mystical dimension known as Qliphotic.

    • Evil most foul: Battle supervillains, aliens, giant monsters and secret, sinister organizations. Doctor Destroyer is launching new plans to conquer the world. VIPER lurks in the shadows, seeking chances to strike at humanity. The ancient Lemurians are plotting a return to power. And Mechanon won't stop until it has wiped all organic life from the planet. Can you stop these heinous threats to humanity?

    • Make your mark: The story of Champions Online is constantly changing, continually evolving. Villains are defeated. Heroes rise and fall. Cities transform. Your actions may decide the future!

Have these guys been snooping around in my head?  It's as if they've taken everything I could ever possibly want in an MMORPG and crammed it all into one game, and then added a couple more things just for laughs.

I have no faith in Jack Emmerts ability to lead a team to make the game they iscribe. Most everything Jack touched in COH c aused turmoil and/or dumbed down the game.

It REALLY seems as if this shell was ONCE aiming to be a CoH/V sequel... I dont think Cryptic HAD any plans of releasing the ONLY other comic book mmo to actually compete with themselves, but with this, the market I suppose is held down..

Anyways, the game looks AMAZING and the ability to create your own hero as well as VILLIAN or (vice versa) to fight with is just awesome and fresh.. Screw WAR and screw AoC (well sorta) GIMME SOME CHAMPIONS!!!

Holy crap!!! It's City of Heroes 2!!!

I'm seeing some character customization pieces taken directly from CoH.

Also, all the game's features sound like improvements of what is in CoH. Even the archenemy system was talked about for a while(but couldn't get it working due to "tech" problems).

Anyway, looks good and sounds good. I'll definitely be getting it.

The graphics are cool. A stylized comic book feel.

champions was an awesome pnp rpg back in the '80's.  It's one IP that I have often thought would be very fitting for an mmo and I am happy to hear that it is coming :)

This game will defiently be my new "TOP" MMO to watch. Honestly the game is everything I wanted out of CoH, but never got.

The Art style is what really grabs me, ive been waiting for a cell-shaded MMO since TFLO!

This game seems like it should be more of a Battlefield 2 type of game. I can't see this game haveing enough content to really make it last as far as leveling and camping, and grouping.

All i know is that if I ever logged into it, I would sit there and make Sky High jokes for hours.

The site and the screenshots look cool. I just hope that they use a different animators for characters. Some animations in CoH/CoV were just horribly done, like the katana scrapper's stance was all wrong. I'm not even going to get into the Martial Arts scrapper's punches and kicks.

Though I am always excited about a Super Hero MMO, I cannot help but be weary of this title, knowing Cryptic's record with CoH/CoV.

To further beat the dead horse I will state that the graphics are awesome! The site is very well made and gives a very good feeling, and so does the graphics and pretty much everything so far. My hopes for this game are already high, hope it turns to be as good as it seems now.

    CRYPTIC I LOVE YOU !!!!!

I spent more time with CoX than another other MMO, looks like I’ll be a Champions fan.

It does look like CoX 2, but from me that's a good thing.

This could be the next big thing in MMOs.  It's got my attention!

My first thought was does the world really need another comic book hero themed game? What new things could it really bring to the table?  And how would it be any different.

Then I recalled that there has been about 342 fantasy based MMO's with the same theme and realized that there's probably much that has yet to be explored in the genre.

I didn't much care for CoX, perhaps I'll like round two a bit more.

Who the hell are you, and why should I care?
Congrats! You are a victim of Trollstar!

    UGH!!!

I read that you can't play as a Villain in Champions Online, but you will be able to later in an expansion.

Cryptic making the same mistakes AGAIN. With how badly Cryptic screwed up CoV this worries me a lot.

Well, will just have to wait and see.

I agree. I played Champions back in the 80's. It was an absolutely fantastic RPG ruleset. The system of powers/drawbacks is probably not going to be adhered to fanatically, but if they can provide something similar to the feel of the ruleset I'll be very excited.

I loved this pnp rpg back in the 80's hope they do justice to it in the mmo form. If they do I'll be aboard.

I'm betting high bucks that's rumor, hearsay. It's so early to say anything about the game. We'll have to wait and see.

Although I agree the MMOG world doesn't need another superhero game, I must say I'm thrilled after I saw the website. And I loved the cell-shading. Now I really need to get my hands on a copy of Champion RPG, which I never heard of.

For the love of god I hope they have a simular keybinding system that they had in CoH.  That system was utter awesomeness.
