I left EQ2 before the Desert expansion

I came back and re-rolled last August and have been happily playing since

EQ2  is *much* better game with  the EOF + Kunark expansions

    EDIT:

DOF sucks -- its my least favorite EQ2 expansion

Dude, EQ2 is badass, and the new expansion is awsome, give it another try, you won't be sorry you did!!!

I am so good, I backstabbed your face!

You should definitely give EQ2 another try...it is nothing like it was at launch. As far as depth, its a much better game than anything thats out there right now, besides, its polished, beautiful, and tons of classes/races to choose from.

I play on the Bazaar server, send me a tell if u wanna play there, my chars name is Arctos.

    ok, you convinced me

as soon as i get my paycheck, i'll reactivate the account

btw, i heard that if i get the new expansion, all the previous are free... is it true?

and new classes? really? which ones?

  • NadiaNadia Member UncommonPosts: 11,798

no new classes - 3 new races  (good fae / evil fae / sarnak)

this thread lists many of the changes

Yes EQ2 is much better now, but a few server merges to get the population up would be nice.  I came back, made it to about lvl 60 and then I couldn't stand the soloing anymore.

    Great game with depth.

Hell why not. I have read alot of people are returning to EQOA. If that is getting some attention then why not EQ2

This sounds all like me! Every bit!

I will give you my 100% honest opinion.

Right now I've had amazingly fun up to lvl 50 but now I hit a wall aka. grinding! XP feels amazingly slow and many zones up to 40-50 feels poorly made and boring overall.

I am gonna try to rocket to level 80 as much as I can since I hate leveling and just wanna get it over with. I'm sure there are many zones out there that are fun but I just gotta find them.

I like how AA's work and the way you gain them. PvP feels a bit boring untill 80 (I hope it gets better then) since there are too many idiots pvp'ing that care too much about their ranks and status.

It's gonna be fun to get to 80 (If i dont get tired before :)) since that's all I keep thinking about. I locked my XP on level 10 to level 39 though because I wanted to be serious in pvp with my guild but after a while I got tired of it and decided to start leveling again.

altho this wiki link is more for solo questing

    eq2.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Solo_Timelines

it does show where to go at what level

Ive enjoyed all the EOF zones,

and they support levelling from 1 to 70

    for me,

Steamfont is fun for levels 35-50

Lesser Fay is fun for levels 50-60

Thanks alot Nadia :) Will definitly check them out.

BTW my personal advice is to stay away from Temple of Cazic Thule (or something) -AND- permafrost zones! They are very poor IMO
