the fact that we wont all be on the same server makes things difficult to know what will happen.
I hope they lock some server that have to much of one Side on it, and leave it open only to the othere side.
Could that be done?
It's quite impossible to find the underdog counting from only our votes, since the community here doesn't represent the community we will see on release.

They all look great i'll play them all apart from the Dwarf race cause noone wants to be a boring midget race.
Just like any poll. You poll a small population to get an estimate on how the whole will vote.

There have been a lot of "which race will you choose' threads on this site and others. From those results. It seems that ORDER will be the underdog, and dwarfs most specifically

Dwarfs are the coolest of the 3 Order races.
Personally Im a bit torn on which way I go.
I really want to be a dark elf caster but nothing looks more fun than a Bright Wizard.
See in a crunch like that id hope folks would choose the underdog
I dont see how this game will be fun if it is grossly unbalenced.
Well if everyone chose the underdog then suddenly it wouldn't be anymore and also people will go for whoever looks badarse and atm that's the destruction.

As already stated, you currently have 90 votes. There are over 500,000 people signed up for beta alone. Trying to figure out the balancing issues from such a small portion is the same as matching one lotto ticket number. You're on the right track, but you have a long way to go before you get it all.
And the fact that we wont all be on the same server.

Also, most of the people posting here are more mature than the kids that will jump the WoW bandwagon for WAR. Your general gamer will more often pick the best looking class. You can argue all you want that Destruction is the better looking, but to the normal person out there, elves and humans will always be the best looking.
So, this is why you see a slight imbalance in race, the more mature players will often take the evil side. Not only that, I think a lot of the table top gamers will take Destruction as well. I'll throw this out there, I'd bet that 70% of the gamers out there are kids. There are also more and more women who play MMO's now, they will pick the most physically attractive race in most cases. Though, that's not always true.
It will even out.
Nice thread. I really like playing the underdog, but I collected the orc tabletop figures so I feel I have to play them. Then again the populations vary from server to server, and people generally like playing as the underdogs so it might switch over.

I see why you would want that, and at the first look, it would seem reasonable. but then again, lets say 9/10 of your friends play on server A, and you decide to start playing WAR. They play destruction, but that faction is overpopulated on server A after the first 3-4 months. The only way to can play with your friends would then be by joining the enemy, which noone wants ( if the main reason to start play is that you can play with your friends) Personally i think, that it would be a bad choice if they made it that way, it would make it less atractive to start playing WAR, and would end up killing the game.
I am blown away that dwarfs have so many folks going there and that humans and high elfs have so few. There is no damn way dwarfs will out number humans and high elfs. WTF! Aragorn and legolas are taking a back seat to gimli? There will be no Leggolas, no legolass, no leggolas? I bet witch hunters alone will outnumber the total dwarf army.

Warhammer Dwarves are vastly different from Tolkien and Warcraft Dwarves. They drink constantly, they kill without reason or shame, and basically have none of the whole "honor thy enemy" rhetoric that is spewed in most Fantasy lore's.
Not true. My first char will be Witch Hunter
My second char will either be Warrior Priest, Black Orc/Choppa, or Chosen.
