I've played a good few mmo's, FFXI, WoW, EQ2, Planetside. I don't want to think of some of the others.
As said FFXI was my favorite mmo.
I'm looking for a game that has an amazing crafting system. The one in FFXI was great and I loved it.
I also like the social aspect to mmo's more than PvP and PvE. If I had to choose one of those it would be PvE.
Overall I would like to find a game that has a lot of cool people that are actually social in some way, I don't care if there is PvP, I would like there to be good PvE. Grinds don't bother me at all. A good crafting system, Something more fantasy like rather than sci-fi. Also a game where some of the things I would do would actually effect the entire game, but that isn't a must or a high priority just something that would be nice ( I don't expect it at all from any game. )
Thanks for the help and suggestions. My xfire is Erhun. msg me on that if you would like to give a game you are playing now and want someone to join with you.

Is there really no game like this?
my first choice would be ryzom, so keep yourself informed on the state of the game and if the servers will be reopening any time soon. second.. and i do this cautiously would be SWG, finding a good guild or group of players that haven't been too jaded by the current state of the game would be the key.

yeah i always hear how good SWG was before they ruined it which has made me wary of whether to play it now or not. but i will check those out thank you for the tips.
I started playing FFXI again. I'm enjoying it so I'm probably going to stick with that.
Crafting in SWG is treated as it's own game, as far as making crafting based around complete professions, unlike most other games where it's treated more as a side game that can be combined with any class. If you wanted, you could play the game completely as a crafter and never have to have anything to do with combat.
Crafting, naturally, has its social aspects to it as you'll be dealing with other players to make their goods. However the Entertainer profession is completely based around being social as the professions main role is, well, entertaining. Mostly, their main role is buffing through the use of dancing or playing music, but entertainers also have the ability to customise other players appearances.
Heh, OK. I was going to suggest VG On release I did 1-35 just as a tailor and the crafting was tons of fun. I don't know how the community is now, but it was lively back then ;p
