i must agree, the game was just a breath of fresh air in mmorpgs for me the first few weeks, except for the bad lag,but i just loved using my 1 warrior,1 musketeer, and 1 healer group auto-healing and fighting in OWNAGE,but that patch broke my heart ,first the 5 minute in defense mode=log out now this?!WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SOTNW!!!!Whats the point if i cant lay back and let the auto-heal do it's thing?!!!****!!!
You have two choices,Die quick or Live tortured...choose wisely...I'll make you regret either choice
I think Sword of the New Worlds problem was that it was picked up by K2Networks who base thier decisions on Smedly 101.
You continue to bash K2 Network with little to no reason. So, I will ask again, what has K2 Network done to make Sword so bad?
Change the name? ZOMG DA NAMZ BIN CHUNZD!!!
Add the Lock defend mode? It's gone now.
Gone F2P? All other versions are currently F2P so...
Launched as P2P? All versions except for China launched as P2P so...
I just don't understand. They serviced the game as well as anyone could have and in my personal experience has time and again proven that they value me as a customer. They answer tickets in the same amount of time as Blizzard and SOE. They respond to players in game and on the forums more than any other game company I have worked with. They have live in-game GM events daily.
And most of all, anytime there is an issue they are quick to respond to it, if not bring it to our attention first. Case and point the removal of the Lock Defend Mode was first brough up back in early December in a Podcast that they plastered all over the website. Since then they had 2 other interviews discussing it AND 2 separate forum threads where they clearly outlined their position and why they took it. More than anything (whether you agree with it or not) it is refreshing to see a company put their money where they mouth is.
John Smedley has NEVER gone to the extremes that I have witnessed K2 Network go through.
Blizzard and SOE are actually slow, so I wouldn't consider that a mark of quality. K2 Networks updates only when there are enough complaints. They are not pro-active on botting problems and actually make them worse. They combined all 3 channels into 1. The only reason botting is down on Sword of the New World is due to its unpopularity. They made sweeping changes to the original design of the game pre-launch that had a negative impact on the actual game. Lastly, they made questable items non-questable and cash shop only.
Granado Espada is actually a monumental game. However with K2Networks at the fore-front is was treated as a dime a dozen Korean Grinder. If you look at thier other games in addition you can see exactly where Sword of the New Worlds is headed. Limited support that uses favoritism in an attempt to keep a few die-hard fans going, and limited updating along with servers being merged or taken off the hive to power K2's "Right Now" game.
