Games with good guild vs guild

What are some of the games that have really good guild vs guild or things like castle seiges

 

O and plz dont say guild wars =D

    Shadowbane...and supposedly they're doing server resets to give everyone a fresh start.   Your guild basicaly builds its own cities and defends it to the death. 

    I know there's other ones but theyr'e mostly older games like Shadowbane or they're not out yet..like Age of Conan has a fantastic guild vs guild system it releases in May i believe

    DAoC is famous for their Realm v. Realm v. Realm combat. Your guild can control a tower and/or a castle and build it up from a lvl 1 to a lvl 10 tower or castle. But it isn't guild v guild combat, it is realm v realm.

    Lineage II has a siege system as well, but you will grind for months even getting there. I wouldn't recommend it.

    Shadowbane is a FFA PvP game that allows guilds to build cities that can be destroyed by other clans. It isn't a guild v guild game, because you can attack anyone outside of your guild.

    Star Wars Galaxies is the only game I know of that allows one guild to declare war against another guild without being subject to PvP to anyone outside the guild you are at war with. It gives leveling a new twist, but that game has a very low population and it is the opinion of the majority that it is on its last leg.

     

    If you want to pay for a game, I'd say give DAoC a try with their trial. Be sure to ask in-game how to get started with PvP immediately, because you can PvP from day 1 in that game. If you don't want to go to an old game like DAoC, you could wait for AoC or WAR to release.

    If you want a free game, I'd say Shadowbane has the most depth to their PvP. It used to be a pay to play game, but went free due to the poor quality of the game.

    I have read up on shadowbane is it true that caster classes are almost useless and basically in pvp who ever gets the first hit wins?

    I wouldn't recommend playing Shadowbane without at least 20 active people in your guild/nation that know what they are doing, if you want to make any kind of impact with your guild in that game.

    Right now i play LOTRO creep side. Making a guild on the creep side to fight the freeps guild on the hero side is always fun. Creep side has fewer numbers and are a lot weaker than the freeps, but the freeps have no concept of PvP, they will usually just stick in one spot and farm the lemming squad for rank to get more lootz. If your guild likes being the underdog this is a nice place to play.

    Im not 100% sure, but i think that Archlord has some pretty decent Guild vs Guild. One game i do know which is very good, is Lineage II. But i wouldn't bother on either and wait for future releases.

    Just wait for WAR...

    I had no idea AoC had GvG, but now that some1 says it does (and if it does) wait for that too...

     

    Decide what you like, WAR or AoC... or try them both when they're out.

    No, not at all. Casters can be quite effective if built right and played correctly. You must remember though that a pure caster is not generally a front line or pvp fighter. I say pure caster, because in Shadowbane, depending on the class, some casters can be of a hybrid build and servive well on the front lines or in pvp. There are tons of templates for the different classes out there and depending on you and your friends play style, you can find builds that will be quite effective in pvp or group combat.

    Also, it's a good idea to know the strenghts and weaknesses of class your fighting against.

    EvE Online except that they are called Corps instead of Guilds as its a Sci-Fi game.
