Rubies of Eventide #1?

Currently based on 33 votes, rubies of eventide, a free mmorpg that was resurrected by cyber warrior has passed city of heroes taking the number 1 spot as the top rated mmorpg. I like many others heard about this game and its return awhile ago. Unfortunately, the servers are down due to the huge demand to play this game. I think this newly acquired fame and hype are going to become the games biggest problem. First off, its free so just how much money can cyber warrior put into this game. Donations can only do so much. Also, with everybody and their grandma wanting to play this game, there is going to be problems. I wonder what direction this game will take. Hopefully it will not become to big to handle and be shut down like last time.

i want to try this game but it seems the site is down
im quite surprised by the ranking thats a slap to the face of all the "mainstream" games even if fans are voting high.

I have looked at this game and have heard the comments about it and I hate it. I am a fan of DAOC and I have played SWG and EVE as well.
In order to compensate for the people just giving it 10s for it being free, I only give it a 1... Eventually with people getting annoyed with some new and horrible game it will drop.

As for the game itself, i cant comment much, but looking at its features:

Highly customizable characters
7 races
Over 100 professions
Over 50 skills
8 magic schools with over 175 spells
Dyable clothing and armor
Deep skill-based character advancement system
Complex crafting system (over 5000 item variations, and growing)
Unique turn-based strategy combat
Detailed reputation tracking system
Griefer resiliant closed combat system
Player versus player
crafting and gathering skills
you'd think it would be p2p. I cant run the game, so I cant confirm if there's are in the game yet, but I doubt it. Im curious tho, what do you find crappy about the game? At a glance it looks good, and i wont be able to play it for another 6 days

RoE is a pretty good game (at least it was when I beta tested it). I liked it much better than Horizons, and seriously concidered buying it. The only thing I hated was the extremely slow pace of leveling. They really need to give up on the idea of making it a free game and at least charge $5 a month or so if they ever want to keep their servers up and running.
the leveling in roe (which i play since beta) got much faster with all the changes. When crafting got implemente,d it was a huge boost to all classes, no melee got huge dmg boost so the are no more boxing bags and so on...
i love this game, really, and i only hate it being refered to now as a free game. It hurts the game, it hurts the community. Free games attract too many poeple with no respect to others work. the community in roe is the most valuable thing and wave after wave of freeriders is hurting it.
With the servers being moved to professional housing, i guess things will change soon with some limit on the free play. can not wait for it
Anyway, if you are serious gamer who was nursed on pen and paper, you will see rubies worth your money when P2P comes in. Even with the game being small compared to EQ or Horizons, it promises and delivers lots of fun, freedom and absolutely best character development in any rpg ever.

Why is it even #1 in the first place... Rubies of Eventide is the worst MMORPG i've ever played, even worse than Lineage II

I was playing L2, but have cancelled my account. I'm pretty new to MMORPG, but it doesn't take long to figure out what your looking for. Lineage 2 has great graphics and music, but it's not for the mature player.
My first game was Horizons and we all know that story. So I'm looking forward to playing Eventide, so far the community looks great and just maybe that 's one of the most important things to look for in a MMORPG?
