they've not mentioned specifics but..from the way they talk about things...its not world of Warhammer craft..so im assuming that the game is pretty much focused on you being a soldier in the war...*rubs chin* that kinda says to mean that..its not a player run economy...like EvE..and maybe not even like WoW.
I've always hated player economics...
Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!
I've got the idea from podcasts that players WILL be able to craft something... But I sincelerly hope it is possible to do with a crafter-NPC. But you will get economics (If you mean that players are buying stuff and making stuff from the stuff they bought to sell the stuff they made from the stuff they bought) in certain level...
Stuff.
Did this not inform you at all? Good.
It seems like if there is a sniff of something warhammer doesn't have you hate it - automatically.
Economics, mounted combat, looting options, raids, ganking, Griefers etc etc - the thing is there will be these in the game.
There is nothing announced as of yet. Few rumors and speculation but thats about all. Keep an eye out for the announcements from Mythic on the crafting / economy system.
I remember Paul saying there will be crafting, but the things you craft will contribute to the war effort.
I.E. You won't be making little robot squirrels, unless they are killer robot squirrels of chaos and death.
So in other words.....
This picture = No
This picture = Yes
i can't tell what the second picture is.
But yes there will be crafting. To what degree we don't know.
As far as player economy goes, it will be there. Only way for it not to be there is with no crafting and no trading. So since we know there will be crafting, it is given there will be trading and thus there will be an economy. To what degree it is player driven I don't know, but the only way to not have a player driven economy is a predetermined worth of an object that the system will not allow you to go over.
IE you can't put the flaming sword tzeetch on the AH for more then 400g buyout, and you can't trade it for more then 400g either.
Which having a set max worth of an item wouldn't bother me too much, as long as they don't low ball the extremely rare or hard to craft items.
Second picture is...... they don't allow linking.
I'll find a new one lol
