The battlefield 1942 was a classic.
I still watch it when i load the ole girl up (seemingly less and less these days).
I really dig BF2142's intro personally.
I'm going with Drae on the Assasins Creed intro though.
That one right there is just plain awsome-cicles.
(Then again it could be simply that the game has caught my attention as being pure badass incarnate.)
What could have been…
I agee that Fallouts have some very very atmospheric intro's, but I don't think anything will ever beat the epic feeling Final Fantasy 7 intro brings... and it even seamlessly transfers right into gameplay, which is hard to see from youtube, but whoever played FF7 will know what I'm talking about.

Yes, that new FF7 intro is pretty damn nice.
Sad too, I have played the game atleast 6 times over and I never noticed that Aeris (Aerith for all you hardcores, happy now? Good.) is looking into a simple junction box and seeing the whole scheme of the mako energy. Pretty damn cool.
Whats sadder still is I recognized 70% of what cloud said... That tells me right there I spent too much time as a "kid" watching fan subbed anime on the interwebTM
I love the Red Alert 2 intro. It's so awesome, and funny. "I don't give a wooden nipple about your legacy!" Red Alert got my love for having such crappy movie sequences in between, can't do much else than love them.
I love the hell march tune in the begining of RA2, RA2 was the best game ever but annoying hackers ruined it, it was all about tactics and weapons rather than button bashing.. the best thing ever was "Warning Nuclear Missle Launched" and you'd just shit yourself lol. what a game !

I'm also partial to Thief, though I'm not sure how much other's like it.
And an honorable mention to Myth: The Fallen Lords (give it a sec, there's a couple seconds of gameplay just before the intro starts).
I personally like the original FF7 intro as it introduced the game world nicely.

I like the intros from Tekken 2, Armored Core: Master of Arena, Mega Man 8 and Street Fighter III 3rd Strike. I'm sure I have more but can't remember at the moment.

oo big reply, anyways ive seen most of these intros, but theres only one that may have challenged RA2, thats BF1942 i forgot that 1 but still nothing else has come close.

I don't think I ever really pay attention to intro's...I do however get annoyed when they don't use the graphics they use in the intro for the game inself *cough* WoW *cough*
