If you can't buy D Door scrolls, do they drop as loot? [Arguably my favorite PnP spell!]  How does D Door work in DDO?  How do you select where to open the other end of the portal?

Also, do mages get to pick a new spell when leveling up or do they only get to pick at first level? [My main is a cleric, but I am having fun with a WF Pally/Mage, haven't trained for 3rd yet]  If so, then you must pick D Door to get it if there are no scrolls, correct?

    Yep, they do drop as loot.  The way it works, it takes you back to the entrance of the instance...so was pretty abused by "run real fast to the end, dragging all the monsters, ddoor back to the beginning and just stroll through the quest".

    Yep, mages pick spells as they level, so you can just select it at the appropriate level.
