I get this message when I go to try to download the game.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function isWCOfflineDomain() in /home/httpd/htdocs/hopto/index.php on line 111
Just yesterday I was downloading the game and must of gotten disconnected cause when I returned there was no DL.
A couple days ago I did download the entire exe. but it was corrupted.
Did they give notice that they would bringt he site down for maintance etc?

there was too much traffic from few IP adresses, the site operator decided to ban them. you can check on the official mesage boards if your adress is one of the banned.

So I downloaded the game got it installed and the create account button is greyed out.
ANd I cant go to the website to possibly create account.
What now?
Well It might be because the game is dead? They canceled it a while back. I was in the beta and suddenly we get a sad mail that they are calling it quits.
But its been awhiles since I have even thought of the game. Is it reopened??
the game is revived and successfuly too. even roe,warcry.com is back!
the account creation in game is not working, accounts were made manualy but today or sometime very soon a new automatical system for account creation using web interface will be introduced.

Xentar Ive read some of your posts concerning the influx of new players into RoE.
I tried Ryl which is also free from what I remember and the players there are completely different from a P2P game, they are loud, racist, typing in all caps, cussing, KSing, etc. These things happen in all games to some extent but its crazy bad in RYL, least in my server. So bad I quit because of that. Granted I didnt play long to get higher in levels to perhaps get further away from the lowbie circle.
Simply, people will P2P if they like the game. If they like the game they would be less likely to grief or exploit it I would think, but then again I think of Lineage 2.
I would not mind paying to play any game that is worth while to me. If whoever is in charge of this game and from what I read, its an interesting managing situation and I assume most would not mind paying. Im sure they thought of some ideas of charging maybe a really low subscription, like 5$ or something. Maybe that could handle the costs and steer unworthy players who only seek free games to exploit, dunno maybe. I think most wouldnt mind paying 5 bucks amonth.
Or perhaps a one time fee for the game download, or a free download with a free month then a one time fee once the player decides to stay. So the player gets the download free, plays for a month free but if decides to stay they pay a one time fee or go the typical route and charge monthly.
I am not sure of the resources of the management in the ability to collect payments and the like but it would definately be an option to consider.
