*sigh* Mechs in Planetside.....

So what does everyone think about the huge mechs there suppose to be comming out with in the near future.

 

Personally as a guy that likes being a grunt all I can say is this is another uber vehicle (if I might call it that) to chase down and kill grunts with... And as a little bitty grunt what the hell can I do agianst a 30 foot tall giant with 6 or 7 gun units.... blah why SOE why...

Can you imagine now instead of reaver spam trapping you in the base or tower you have 6 or 7 huge Mechs camping the doorway.... double blah

    I agree i think enough of this one kill weapons.They brought in new deliverers which are again one kill weapons.Lets get the fight back to the ground like the old days!

    Whoa whoa whoa!! Giant mechs! I been outta the PS loop for too long. That might be cool enough to go back for!

    I heard a rumor that they were going to make an expantion for PS that gives each empire acess to a navy...no idea if thats true or not but it'd be pretty awesome!

    Actually a fact you might not know of is that hese "giant mechs" as you put it have a severe weakness.

    That is to sniper fire. According to reports from the devs, there is a section of the mech that supplies power to the entire structure. If hit by the precise fire of a sniper, it virtually causes a chain reaction and the entire mech to self destruct. If there wasnt already enough snipers in the game, plan to see more when the mechs come out.

    where ddi you hear about these "giant Mechs"? are there any screenshots yet?

    i just read something on HomeLAN regarding this, it was something along the lines of "attuning" with the Mech in the caves, once this is done then it becomes certifiable.
