$800 Gaming Build

interesting budget gaming build scoring a tad under 10k in 3dmark06. (personally, i'd go for the 3870 graphics card since the motherboard is crossfire compatible)

    ya 3870 would be better imo. and considering ati had a price cut recently aswell...

    Eh, you could probably get a better one for $800.

    For one thing, switch to the P35-DS3L gigabyte motherboard for like 95 dollars and use the money saved to buy an 8800GT.

    I'd be tempted to change more components too in order to get a decent power supply. Perhaps even go AMD since games are more GPU limited nowadays rather than CPU limited.
