Thanks man..!
Awesome video, thanks. The more I see and read about this game, the more I like it.
One negative comment, the video looked just a little "choppy". Maybe they had their graphical settings too high
thx man i was looking for this
So it auto builds it for you? and you have no control over the layout . Good gfx and everything but the gameplay is kinda lacking isnt it?
Did a game gave an option for a spatoula, brick and cement building and I missed it? I thought the "pick a type of building and make it" was the common practice. Customising the interior yes, but the exterior was pretty much standardised for every MMO I can remember.
What's the gameplay we're missing from the house building process?
You have some degree of layout with the building, but its always in a set area. With Keeps different buildings give different bonuses for different classes. There are tons of different building you can build in your city, but not all fit in the same area, so you have to choose your preferance in there (with a tactical mind)
I'm going to set up a table of beer in the guild hall!
nice video Avery. Got a question:
1. Who in yoru guild can make a building in your city?
2. is there some sort of demolision rights like in SWG?
Hey, in a guild the the building are put up by the architects, they will have to learn how to do this first by way of quests. Then they will build the PvE city and then eventually when the PvE city is built up and at a specific stage they can start making the PvP BattleKeep city. They say its gonna take a minimum size guild of about 25 people ish to start up a PvP city as its a big task.
They have to be level 40 before they can start building the basics.
I believe that all structures are destructible thru damage, upon completion of victory of one side over the other in a PvP City Siege fight the winner can either build over whats left or you start afresh. Actual detailed specifics aren't out yet. There is scope for placement of different types of buildings in different area's each time, making the Keep Different each time, with same objectives but in different area's with many possible combinations and tactics in building and defending.
Rogues cannot climb walls because climbing requires static points on the server and the walls are dynamic objects. So there are no Shadowbane type misfortunes / cheating.

What you fear about 4am razings is really just a matter of balance. I "threw" a couple "block parties" in Shadowbane where we were not engaging the target with a capture bane we were just there to hurt them financially and damage buildings. But we would seriously spend many hours doing this like 6-8 each wall section took a considerable time to knockdown even if I recall it was like between 30-and an hour of shooting at it with siege equipment. Hand siege weapons do almost no damage and would take a 10 minutes to destroy even the smallest hut.
Which means yes someone could "hurt you" but you would like be able to repair your stuff they cant destroy it completely.
In addition this I think plays better for the actual sieges because then you have pre siege skirmishes as potential attackers don't want to spend the 30 minutes DURING the siege to knock a hole in the wall as the defenders are gaining tickets towards winning that entire time.
If the time thing became a huge issue it could potentially be possible to use the "server lockout" time schedule to make it so you cant do damage during that time, but I see this more as a great way to use the merc system also to hire people to babysit while your guilds main force might not be around.
Nevertheless hope it turns out good at the end of the day.
