The screens look great. I can't wait to see this game hit beta if it ever will.
My only question is why in almost every screen shot they show, everyone looks like they are wearing mittens?
There are 3 types of people in the world.
1.) Those who make things happen
2.) Those who watch things happen
3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
Remember some of the fury screenshots? Remember how bad that game was?
Screenshots does not equal polish. Screenshots do not equal a game.
I want darkfall to release probably more than most people, but unlike most of the new "fanbois" I have been following the game since 2002-2003. They had screenshots then, they had long lists of features, and worst of all they told us beta was coming sign up!
You need to realize that after a while of being told SOON! or ALMOST! or NEXT MONTH! You get to the point where it takes action.
Well you need to learn to just chill and go do something else. and stop QQQQ over an unoffcial soon
you know What things happen they didnt purposly lie to you about it.
Ok nice screens but now i am a little worried, they're probably running this on a top of the line system; wonder what it will take to run this stuff....... hopefully it will all be scalable and optimized cause as of right now DF waves bye bye to my system.
maybe if the polys are down there with wow and a lower fill rate then you should be fine.

its great havin new SS and its was great to see the latest movie but i think everyone can aggree its to the point now with how long its been to put up or shut up.gives us a beta and take your place as the greatest mmorpg. jmo
Screenshots look AWESOME. and we finally getting more info.. the hope grows now more then ever but as the guy above said.. until we dont see a beta.. the vaporware effect remains.
Now, as for not purposely lying, Ill give you that, however it shows a rather extreme lack in management, production, and marketing.
Missing beta by a few days or weeks or months isnt bad.... it will piss folks off, but not horrible. Missing beta by 3 years.... after saying it was months away, after taking emails.... thats bad.
The issue is, they thought they were close enough to announce a beta and offer sign ups. They then were unable to produce, that shows a horrible management /production mistake. Either they missed a major milestone (for 3 years) or they had to rework a substantial portion of the game.

As I said earlier, Im not against Darkfall, I really really want the game to release. However, after being misslead over the past 6 - 8 years, I wont be getting my hopes up until I actually see a beta.

I understand you completely, i was also one of them, which registered and get approval for the clan beta back 2005. And they have not official announced beta 2005 or up to now, but everyone thought about it, and even Brannoc(admin of DF official forum, not a member of the dev team) hinted it may start 2005. And until this time Beta is in "soon" stance.. and this is also the reason why soon(tm) is a running gag within the community, and noone gives shit about a soon anymore. Not to forgot the 2003 announcement(which was the only official one).So yes, there is no doubt, that their PR department is quite shitty, and with that said, i personally only believe for a beta, when i can log in and play the game. And to say this, you really dont need to be a DF hater or vaporware cryer.. and i believe(and even more) it is not vaporware.. really i do.

Well, that's because they don't know how to draw fingers, of course. The hand is just one polygon anyway. So mittens are what we have to work with. DIDNT YOU KNOW?!
BTW if any of you ever watched that show on discovery called Deadliest Catch, this guy in the screen shot looks EXACTLY like Capt. Sig Hansen from one of those boats... don't remember the name.
