hello all, just lookin for a decent diablo style hack n slash game (f2p or p2p are both fine), ive been WoW for the past few years and its time to move on to something new and fresh, and i am open to any and all suggestions thanks!
-MU online, a game that was probably one of the most populare MMORPG ever made. It's a very fun giometric view game, with many types of weapons and armors. The game was published some years ago so it looks pretty oldskool to me but I did enjoy playing this game.
-Then you got Mythos online. A game that is currently in Closed Beta but I think it wil become Open Beta pretty soon, if you want to have a chance to play in Closed Beta you can always sign up on their site. I even believe Mythos Online is created by some of the developers of Diablo online but I'm not sure about that.
Your two best options, IMO, are Mythos and Dungeon Runners. Both are F2P. Mythos wil have a microtransaction system when it exits beta and Dungeon Runners has a cheap ($5/month) premium subscription option.
I'm confident that these two games will be the explosive players in this genre (online hack-n-slash) in 2008.
I have to agree with Dungeon Runners. Its almost identical to diablo in terms of game play, and theres something satisfying about killing a giant rat with a baptismal cardboard small club of the cozy bunny. and yes, thats an actual weapon. its an empty game right now ive noticed. with the largest server ive seen having maybe 200, and the smallest 4

Mythos will essentially be a multiplayer version of Fate (http://games.wildtangent.com/fate/).
It's made by the same people I think.
