yes it is an asian grinder.
ok well.... how long does it take for the game to be fun, and how long does it take to get to lvl 95?
how long will it take you to get to 95?
couple of weeks or less if you really try. theres no leveling wall, you kind of level at a constant pace, at least untill 80 right now.
the hard part will be skilling your sword and magic skills.
thanks, that dosen't seem like much of a grind to me
On lower levels (pre 80)you almost don't have to grind outside quests from my experience.
I am level 43 and have been having fun leveling up. It just baffles me that peopel want and end game character from day 1 and they fail to enjoy the game otherwise.
Why in the world bother to play if you don't want to play?
honestly, while any mmo you play has to have grind, at least this game gives you the option to use skills with awesome animations. its nice to have a wide variety of eye candy.
also the combo function takes a while to master, for me it made my grind from 60-80 fly by (i choose to grind to level up, rather than do the 100's of quests...yes i like to grind)
once you kinda master comboing, grinding is awesome, as you can fly though killing mobs. it even advertises when you get 15+ combos for all around you to see. and its tricky and fun to combo though multiple mobs, as you must clikc on the next mob at the right time, then continue on comboing.
also you get skill and exp bonus for timing your combos perfictly. just add so much to do. really makes me wonder how i got by on all those other mmo's where i would click, spam hot keys, repeat, with no reason to pay attention to what skill i used and when i pressed the hot key.
The grind really isnt that bad yet. Im only lvl 55 though. But if you compare it to WOW since alot of ppl compare it to WOW the grind is faster in Cabal. If i work hard enough I can do a lvl in about 3 hrs. And if you are in a group, and everyone is fighting you get bouns exp. With up to +60% exp, and you get exp from things that ppl are killing even if you are not attacking anything.
I have to say that I am only lvl 27... did it in a few days playing on and off. Not much grouping but all quests. The quests get you to run all over the map and as small as the world is it makes it large.
The good thing is you can double and triple up quests which help a lot in the lvling. You can get a quest from 3 different NPC's to kill the same item and each one will pay out 10 - 30k each.
So far it has been addictive.
Why?
Sshouldn't the game be fun from day 1? If not, then what makes you think playing it for a couple of weeks would be any more fun?
This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
I like Cabal so far, im only lvl 31 but its been like none stop quests from the moment you start playing so thats always nice form my point of view, i guess thats cuzz if makes me feel like im doing something other then standing in one spot killing the same thing over and over for 5 hours stright
Real Eyes, Relize, Real Lies
yeah untill around level 100 you get more quests than you can handle which is nice. once the amount of quests you have slows down, though, you have something else to do, which i find even more fun than quests, and thats killing people from other nations for honor points. i really liked how they did a "point of the game" switch at level 95+ the quest fest has been fun, but was getting boring for me around level 90, then bam, new object of the game....very nice touch if you ask me.
also i really like how the instant dungeons work (lake in dusk and ones after it) they are really challenging, you get insane experiance, and you can expect semi-rare drops from normal mobs and mini bosses, and usualy a really good drop from the end boss (although not always)
really after level 75+ the best way to level up is to get map parts/ runia station cards/ epaulet of dead and do instant dungeons in groups.
so nice that they made "stand there and grind" kind of the worst way to level (good way to skill though)
