With the recently released update, i think that when the other products from Jagex are out you will be able to communicate from different games using the friends list.
It now says the game you are playing next to your world. (For example. Runescape 1, Runescape 80)...
My guesses are that it will say FunOrb next to the persons username when they are online.
And a quote from RuneScape news: You may also notice that the Friends and Ignore tabs have changed. This is to allow for future compatibility with FunOrb, helping you to have a natter with friends on both games with ease!
(I dont even think they had mentioned funorb on the runescape site before this)
Edit: they changed it to "You may also notice that the Friends and Ignore lists have changed as the pane inside them has got wider".
Anyway i think it would be cool to talk to people from different games.
Any ideas or opinions?

I looked at www.funorb.com and it looks like you need members to access it. I quit Runescape after the trade update and am currently waiting for MechScape. Jagex needs to start giving tidbits away for MechScape to start populirizing it.
They should have spent less time on Funorb and more time on Runscape. Those people at Jagex are just being silly now. I mean seriously, why would you go out and make another game if your first game still needed fixing. I suppose that's probably why Runescape went downhill, because they were too focused on Funorb and hashed out some half-baked ideas that were just plain stupid. I looked at it yesterday and it seems to me that while it can be somewhat entertaining it wasn't worth sacrficing runescape to make it.
Anyways, I guess Funorb was the first hint that they were abandoning runescape, even though runescape is their biggest game by far. Well done Jagex. im still upset that I wasted 4 years of my life playing that game for them to just ruin it for me and thousands of other players.
I thought the talking between completely different games was a GENIOUS move by Jagex.
I havn't played RS in 5months but logged into FunOrb to play, and was tlaking to two of my old friends from RS and playing Chess with another.
Also it states what game they are playing, not just that they are on FunOrb.
I wrote this topic before funorb came out, and by the way thy said that there are two different teams for funorb and they said rs will still get the same amount of updates whether they are good or bad :P
?
Although Rs is down the tube, this funorb thing seems interesting.... You say that you can talk to people from other games? Which other games have this? I have never heard of "Fun Orb" at all. If other games had this (Wow Eve Etc...) Then hell, this update would be magnificent! Of course, what other game has funorb though? Sounds interesting though, and maybe could become something very large...
In all honesty its not as great as it sounds. The games are like the ones you could find on any other gaming website, nothing really original. There are only a handful of games you could communicate with people on. I think there are like 5 or 6 small games on funorb like chess and runescape.
I think that's about it.The games just don't measure up to how runescape used to be before all the updates.
