If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Something I'm just not getting when people say that a delay could be good !!!
Without feed back from open beta testers saying it could use a few more months, how do you know how far the game REALLY is. Some MMO's can advertise 2 years in advance and delay 5 times and still look like a beta when released !
I think Europe is just west of Scranton Pa. take rt.6 it's just passed the mall on the left.
We will just have to wait and see, I hope this mmo is as good as it looks and as the gameplay trailers seem. I think it will need to be really good anyway, theres no hype what so ever for this game, If it was not for seeing this forum on this site a year ago I would not even know about this game and it is meant to be 'popular' in Europe ( Im from England).
So it looks like it is going to rely on word of mouth to gain popularity at the moment, and to get good word of mouth the game will have to have a release like lord of rings had, IE near perfect. And keep peoples attention long after the standard 1 free month has ended. Just need to look at pirates of the burning sea to see what happens if they dont do this.
with AOC and WAR releasing around the same time, I don't think I wil even have time to try this now.

I'd make sure to test them out all 3......
All 3 will have their highlights, and downfalls for sure, but when you want attractive new refreshing combat this game really is a must to try out.
All i can say is that i played all 3 of them, and tough i realise that different people want different games, and all 3 of them are great games. I have made my choice, it would be a pitty if you choose the wrong game just to find out after severall months (AS i did many times in the past..... choosing EQ2 over WoW and then switching games... even playing Vanguard for months and the free month of LOTRO)
Currently i am in a phase that no game can capture me longer then a month..... then i need to switch. Thats why i am hoping that TCoS can change this for me... First hands on was impressive.
Sadly no word yet on a US publisher.... but i expect that there will be a deal anytime soon... just keep an eye out for the announcement.

Yea you have been fooled tcos will be way better. im surprised some people havent firgure out AOc is over hyped. but hey you can see for your self later i guess.
If it wasnt instance and was way less zoning involved then it would be good but them 2 things just ruin it.
TCoS in its current stage is far superior to any other mmo in development. anyone with an openmind can see this from all we know about AoC/War at this time.
Dont know about WaR but I dont see AOC going live before Christmas.

The thing is all 3 games will get there support,WAR and AoC will get a big group because of the hype wether they are good games in a finished state or not,TCoS on the other hand will have to deliever to take off and I sure hope it does,There are quite a few things I like about TCoS and most of you guys will know what I mean but 1 thing I really hope for is a great community,there forums are a great bunch of guys and with no uber epic gear or 24/7 raiding and alot more skilled combat it will attract the more mature player.
I aint going to kid myself and think TCoS will be challenging the numbers of the other games,I dont need 9 millon other guys to enjoy a game,if TCoS has around the 250k- 400k mark it will be profitable and a success,fingers crossed for the next couple of months

I worry about the timing of the release too. If WaR, AoC, and TCoS go live within a few months of each other, it could decimate all three. I would think MMORPGs need large numbers of people playing, not only to make money for the devs, but to make the environment an enjoyable place to play. I would hate to be on a server with 4 other people :P
I have to agree with the last poster, its an MMO you need people for fun, like take Vanguard. Is to be getting better but It will never see my money because it's dead.

last is graphics, I have a super computer and it's still last on my list.
I'll let all 3 release and see how they go, then I'll play the best, its very easy !!!, I don't feel like getting burn out trying all 3, and all you have to do it give it just a little more time, Now it it that hard to do ?
Tbh guys there is more chance of all 3 delaying again than all being released this summer,If you listen to all the whispers you would think TCoS has the best chance of meeting a Q2 release but even alot of people doubt that,AoC seems to be running out of time yet again and there are already whispers that it will delay yet again and as for WAR alot of people are saying this game is more than likely to be heading for a Q4 release,of course this is more hearsay than fact but I think you can rest at ease that all 3 will not release at around the sametime.

It's way too soon after the TCoS Q2 launch announcement to conclude they will have to delay again. I think people just say stuff to say stuff, unless of course they are privy to information we are not.
They are all aiming to release a perfect game....wether they will succeed under the pressure of publishers....only god can tell.

I really hope they don't delay again...I just want to play this game.
I'm getting so tired of WoW, the second time around....
I'm about to start playing Call Of Duty 4...but FPS games can only hold me for so long.
I posted in a new thread, but maybe I should've just added here. It seems like WAR has been pushed back to Q3. So maybe TCoS will have abit less competition if it releases on time.
