It took several hours and in the end the files were corrupt. Buy the DVD.

...and where did u DL it from! If from the main site, ur PC prolly has a virus that infected the DL! Myself and many others have used that DL and it works just fine.
...and if it took u several hrs then its ur connection also. I can DL the High Rez client at what 6+ gb in less than 1 hr.

Large files can also give false positives when they say corrupt.
If your fat32 and not NTFS then large files wont work, if you dont use win rar large multigig files sometimes say corrupt when they are not.
Could be where you dled it from... there are tons of reasons why it might not just be turbine.
OP: You might try downloading from the official site if you haven't yet.
Here's some words for advice:
Don't claim that the sky is falling when all that hit your wee head was an acorn!
Now with that said, your post was quite unnecessary in the fact that I've had a few of my kinship folks download from the main site, download and install all of the updates and they're online and playing with no problems at all.
The situation that you're experiencing has to derive from your own system, and you should check to be sure everything is sound before you claim it's someone else's fault.
