Looking for a new mmo

DreamerdudeDreamerdude Member Posts: 13

First of all, right now it has to be free b/c I don't have a job. I have played just about everything out there from Everquest to WOW to LOTRO and most of the Free Korean mmos. It just seems that I get bored really easy and then forget about the game. Especially grinds where thats really all you have to look forward to when you log in is a big grind.  I guess you could say I'm looking for a good with plenty of variety and action but that has a price tag of Zero, at least for the moment. Anyone got any recommendations?

I'm going to get to the point quick:

If it's free, it's a grinder.  There are very few exceptions to this rule.

    Now with 57.3% more flames!

Yeah, I've been trying to think of one to recommend. But I just can't think of any free non-grindy games. Your best bet is to use a mix of free trials.

Try Perfect World. I tried it once, found it too.... ummmm..... corney in a fantasy way lol. Also found it annoying that you have to buy items with real money in order to say hello to eveyone on the server.

I am only saying to try it, because it has flying built in. So you can fly and look at the world in a different way than most other MMORPGs. I don't think you can escape the grinding in MMORPGs.

You can give Wurm Online a try. It breaks the mold and has a very great basic account. I've been playing over 2 weeks and I haven't needed to upgrade yet. Even then, the upgrade is 1/2 the cost of the normal MMO fee. Come check it out.

    Blessings,

    MMO migrant.

I actually tried that a few months ago and didn't think the flying was all that cool. There wasn't really that much I enjoyed about it.

I will 2nd the Wurm suggestion, its free as long as you want it to be, and its not a grind.
