I haven't experienced any of the problems you listed.

Are you sure the problem isn't something on your end?

Even during beta I didn't experience any of those problems... I don't even have a top-end computer...

I felt the same way when I thought id give the trial a go (or buddy key, w/e)

I have a system that can easily run games like Crysis on High (Not maximum... its not THAT good :P)

And VG just didnt seem to be running smooth.

The game is far from perfect, but I've never seen or heard of any of those problems before, OP. Since beta, or otherwise. I think it's something on your end.

No, the game doesn't run entirely smooth. It can get a little choppy in towns, and just as new areas are loading up, but in the areas you're adventuring in, it's usually pretty smooth. 20-30fps is what I average, and that's pretty smooth to me.

There's nothing game-breakingly wrong with Vanguard, it's all up to personal preference, and the differences in computers. Some will have good experiences, some not so much.

Population, bugs, and mismanagement killed Vanguard, it is a tall order to get everyones hardware to work with a new release and only a company as massive and talented as Blizzard can pull it off maybe. B ehappy you can't play because the next ugly truth will rear its ugly head!

    Population Woes

Population. It’s been the hot topic since before day one of the game’s release. Talks about Vanguard denting those World of Warcraft’s monster population numbers were rampant. After the early release (and subsequent issues that followed) numbers were the weapons being wielded by the upset players who were quick to point out that Vanguard’s population numbers were no where near expected and this meant the game was a flop. Back and forth numbers were tossed around, everyone quoting theirs as ‘fact’ and pointing out that the other camp didn’t have an accurate source for their numbers.

After the SoE takeover of Sigil, disgruntle employees came forward with numbers of their own. They quoted very low subscriber numbers and talked about how Sigil execs had failed them and the game. I know I would love to be able to find a group everywhere I went, anytime I wanted, for anything and everything. But maybe the problem is that the game isn’t playable for a lot of people right now. Address that issue first, that’s your primary goal, and work on a server merge as a secondary task. Fix the plat duping, the economies, crack down on the gold sellers (which admittedly SoE is trying to do). Then keep introducing new content, give bonuses like ‘double XP weekend’ or ‘double crafting XP weekend’ to those still playing. Keep the population you have now, get new interest in the game, keep people coming in.

NO NEW CONTENT, EXPECT NERFS AND TO BLEED PLAYERS FURTHER AS SOE MISMANAGES THE GAME!!!!!!!

If you have any questions please ask. I have moved on to WoW from eq and no longer have any desire to play a dead game. Thank you. (posted by another selling his account in EQ1)
